I attended a wedding here on the 30th September and I couldn't have been more impressed! As a wedding and events coordinator in a hotel I am normally quite hard to please but it was a wonderful day. The ceremony room had an intimate and classy feel to it and then the gardens were brilliant for photos. The room for the wedding breakfast worked very well and then we come to the food! We were asked to preorder from 3 choices and I have to say I would have been over the moon with any of the choices as all sounded amazing and looked great on the plate. From the satisfied sounds coming from everyone I assume they all taste good as well. The evening reception is in the main reception area with the bar and worked surprisingly well as an evening reception venue. I salute the organisors and the staff on a wonderful and special day! The only downside is that I wasn't fortunate to stay the night as had to drive home but I managed a sneak peak at the bedrooms and WOW I was jealous!

Four of us visited for lunch at set price of £14.95 for three courses. Lovely surroundings, excellent service, great menu choice and great value for money.
My meal of home cooked ham, poached eggs and chips was only dissappointment and stopped me rating this "excellent". (ham a bit pre-processed looking and both poached eggs were hard).
However, will definately go again on next visit to Plymouth.

I stayed at St Elizabeth's House in Sept on a business trip. Its a small country house hotel located in Plympton, which is around 10mins from Plymouth. The hotel is situated in around 5 acres of well kept gardens and has a colourful history. The facilities are fairly simple (so no gym or pool) but its all very well executed

The service both at reception and in the restaurant was very friendly and personable, which was appreciated after a long train journey to Plymouth. The food in the restaurant exceeded my expectations (I focused on the seafood dishes) and reasonably priced. I had a standard room (Sir Francis Drake), which was spacious but the best bit was the bathroom which was the same size as the bedroom and equiped with a great free standing bath and gizmo packed shower. Wi-fi is free.

Only niggle was the mealtimes are fairly rigid, which can be a challenge if you are travelling on business. I'd happily stay here again though.

Excellent service, excellent food, excellent experience. we went as a party of four, we all selected four different starters, four different main meals, and four different desserts, each course was lovely, far exceeded our expectations. The service was impeccable, from placing our serviettes on our laps to drink orders and presentation of our food.all the staff were really attentive, but not in an overbearing way, the atmosphere in the dining hall was lovely, and as the kitchen was away from the eating area we did not hear any kitchen activity. The grounds, entrance hall bar area and toilets were presentated to a very high standard. i would have no hesitation on returning and recommending this excellent experience.

Having left Saltam House ( National trust ), four of us were looking for lunch- having passed some very dreary pubs, we saw the drive and decided to try our luck. A beautiful day, the hotel and grounds looked really wonderful -and flowers filled the hotel everywhere we looked.
We were offered the main restaurant, but wanted a small pub style meal -so were shown to the garden. Food service was impeccable , the menu great and the portions really great value for money. We visited a couple of rooms while were were there, in case of a further visit, and would be delighted to stay at the hotel. We left having had a fabulous experience, and would actively seek out Elizabeth House when near Plymouth

Room Tip: Only had lunch at the hotel -but saw a great room on the first floor that overlooked the gardens

Me and my fiancé (now wife :) ) got married here on Monday. The staff will go out of their way to make your day extra special. Nothing was too much hassle for them. The food is out of this world. The main reason we choose Elizabeth House was for the location. Beautiful gardens and picturesque scenery.
The bridal room has a jacuzzi bath and a tv.
Will definitely be eating here again! Top class. Thank you to Nick, Solly and Elena!!!!!!!
