We had Sunday lunch here recently with a family group. In all there were 7 of us. We were seated in a room all on our own when we would have preferred to be amongst other diners. However, the restaurant appeared to be very busy so we did not complain. The starters and desserts were all superb but with one exception we were all disappointed with the mains. I had the roast beef which was like leather and my Aunt had the seabass, which she did not enjoy either. Two of our group had the pork belly which they said was just OK.
The actual hotel is very nice and, despite the above comments, we did have a really nice time. The staff were all very helpful and we would return, though perhaps opt for a barmeal (if they do them). I think one of the problems with their food is that their menu offers too much choice. If they just stuck with, say, 3 choices for each course, they would perhaps stand more choice of serving up tastier dishes. At the moment I think there are about 10 choices for each course.More
