We've been going to The Treby since before Anton won Professional Masterchef. Since then it hasn't been as easy to get in so our visits have been less regular.
Having booked well in advance we were keen to find out how well The Treby had coped with changes to the building, more covers and greater popularity.
The answer is in the title of this review.
The staff were friendly, knowledgeable about the food and the structural changes had made for more space and atmosphere (we were sat upstairs.)
Hand dived scallops and Ballontine of foie gras as starters - both spectacular, particularly the foie gras with muscat and grape jelly.
This little piggy went to the Treby kitchen and the Lamb rack with sweetbreads.
For desert a White wagon wheel and Chocolate caramel.
We were disappointed when we went to The Hand and Flowers (a 2 Michelin starred restaurant Anton cooked at on his way to winning Professional Masterchef) and were delighted to come back to The Treby to have a truly a memorable meal which was everything we hoped it would be.
Well done Anton and Clare!
