A very warm welcome awaits you in this magnificent Georgian building with its beautiful gardens and antique furniture. We were fortunate enough to sleep in the 4 poster bedroom but the other 2 bedrooms are equally attractive - the lack of en suite facilities was not an issue.
Breakfast was wholesome and Ann made our small group feel particularly welcome by providing a Sunday newspaper, maps for a circular walk and some local history - all followed by a cheery wave when we departed down her drive. Very reasonably priced and ideally located for exploring the Somerset/Devon borders.
The local pub a few paces away (and once owned by Sir Francis Drake) has a good range of beers and Sunday lunch was delicious.
