Love this place, have been twice before, and each time we have thoroughly enjoyed it. Booked a table for 1 30. but restaurant was full, so we ate in the snug area- no problem, service and food was excellent.Husband had garlic mushrooms, he said they were lovely and hot, and tasty. We both ordered our mains, i had roast beef and yorkshire pud, absolutely lovely, melt in the mouth beef and a home made yorkie- lovely.Husband had the lamb- lovely and tender. Veg was cabbage, carrots, cauliflower and brussels, sorry husband does not like brussels, so i ate them all, wish i had asked for an alternative for him, as i am sure they would of obliged, and i also would have liked a tad more veg. Roasties were spot on. Best sunday lunch ever, will book for next week, and also i am going to book up for frid night in 2 weeks time katie

Great Sunday lunch, piping hot, tasty and plenty of it!
Landlord and staff great to serve you and they are willing to accommodate any changes, as before when I have been no mash and extra roasties and gravy is no bother for them and with four veg to choose from, it offers great value for money.
Nice roaring fire, lovely atmosphere and a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
Will definately be back again...

Went to the Miners on 27th January for Sunday Lunch. Have to say that food and service were very good. My wife and I had Leek and Potato Soup and Pâté for starters and roast lamb and beef for mains. Food was well cooked, well presented and good portions (couldn't squeeze in a dessert!!) Very friendly pub and excellent value for money. Definitely going to try the new Monday night carvery!!

Visited this pub with two colleagues in November 2012.
We only had limited time but the service was excellent and the food arrived quickly.
This pub has a very nice traditional atmosphere with plenty of food and drink choices.
I chose a baguette which came with salad and chips and was very tasty and filling and excellent value for money. I would like to visit of an evening/weekend.
Would recommend.

Monday nights are a must at the miners. The snow was falling but the fire was roaring. Carvery £5.95 including a free starter or dessert. Excellent quality and value for money. Great family atmosphere. Was greatly enjoyed by everyone, including the kids.

Hello Nicola - we're absolutely over the moon that you enjoyed our Carvery - this was just our second week and so far the response has been great - it's seems to be the perfect way to spend a winters evening in January! We'll be making a few tweaks so let us know what you think if you visit again. Johan and Polly x
