We stayed here for 2 nights to attend a nearby wedding. We had a super time. It's in an excellent location. The food was great and the staff were friendly and efficient. We'll definitely be back!

We did not stay here, but stopped to eat on our way back to Galway from Connemarra along the coastal road. It is a colorful looking place with a great setting overlooking Galway Bay. We had good pub food--sheperds pie and seafood chowder for about a total of 17 euros. The room overlookedf the bay and there was a warm, cozy fireplace on a rainy, dank day. Very good and rewarding.

My wife and I first stayed at this bed and breakfast/bistro/bar establishment about 10 years ago and at that time we were very impressed.

It is located right on the edge of Galway Bay, about 15 minutes drive north of Galway city. On the outside it is painted in a lovely terracotta colour that is so popular in this area, as it was on our first visit.

On this visit we just stayed the one night and while the service and staff did not seem as attentive as we remembered, it is still a lovely place to stay. Our room had a nice view across the bay. By hotel standards the room was small and basic. But we got what we wanted- a relaxing place to stay beside the sea.

We had lunch in the bar/restaurant on our arrival and it was very tasty- we didn't have an evening meal as we did the tourist thing and went to Dunguaire Castle (about 40 minutes drive away, to the south of Galway) for a `Medieval` banquet. Then we came back to here for a few drinks and listened to the entertainment for a while (a very good local singer/guitarist a bit like James Blunt)

If you are looking for a romantic, peaceful place to stay right beside the sea, ideal for touring the middle west coast of Ireland, this might be the place for you.
