I enjoyed a delicious cup of coffee here at the weekend and took full advantage of sitting under the shade of the lovely awning, a perfect place to mingle or just watch the busy world go by. The cakes were very tempting, just couldn't decide which one!

A fantastic addition to the charming village of Minster-in-Thanet, this newly refurbished coffee shop provides a contemporary ambience and lovely coffee and cakes.
Dietary preferences/needs are well catered for with a range of gluten- free products etc and the produce is top quality.Locally made delicious ice cream (honeycomb is my favourite) and home baked cakes. The "pulled pork"sandwich was especially tasty and served with salad and crisps to make a substantial lunch.
A lovely spot to while away some leisure time or do a bit of reading or work ,with free wifi available.

What a treat to take time out in the middle of a busy day to enjoy literally the best cup of coffee for miles in beautiful surroundings. I was in this coffee shop a few months ago and can't believe the transformation; No. 79 is now spotless and stylish with a good selection of cakes, savouries and individual touches like the handmade chocolate bars and lollies. I opted for the very moist blueberry and lemon drizzle cake but it was a close call between that and the enormous scone with jam and clotted cream... next time!
It was a bonus to get online using my BT Broadband account but in fact I did not stay on my laptop for long as I ended up chatting to other friendly visitors. Serious solo coffee drinkers can always sit at the breakfast bar looking out of the large feature window if they don't want to be disturbed!
Only one person serving so a slight wait if you're not first in the queue, but the light airy setting and excellent people-watching facilities (i.e. good view onto Minster High St regardless of whether you're sitting inside or under the awning) more than make up for this.
