“Beautiful house, peaceful location, great hosts!”
Reviewed April 14, 2014

We booked two nights at Wicken View on a whim as we needed a break from the city and we were very impressed!

The photos do not do this house justice. The accommodation is furnished beautifully, and the rooms contain little extras which make your trip more enjoyable, such as, tea, coffee, short bread biscuits, magazines & thick fluffy towels. The breakfast cooked up by John and served by Ann was delicious and kept us full until early dinner.

The hosts Ann and John are your dream b&b owners, friendly and helpful without being in your face and allow you your own space. They went above and beyond for us, allowed you large dog to stay without a fuss, they recommended great places to visit and even lent my partner an asthma puffer as he forgot it!

I would highly recommend Wicken view as a peaceful, extremely comfortable and great value for money accommodation to anyone needing a break for the city, or a rural base to explore the Norfolk area.

P.s it is worth the stay purely for the large roll top victoria bath with a view!

Room Tip: Both rooms are beautiful

We live in Cambridge and enjoyed a break away from the kids to go walking and get some proper sleep. We stayed two nights and I could have stayed another five because this B&B was so relaxing and quiet with super comfortable beds and great service (coffee, tea, biscuits in the room). The house is spotlessly clean and tidy, the bedrooms simply lovely with high ceilings, yet cosy and warm, and there is a wonderful bathroom with a nice bath and great fluffy towels provided. The house had a great country-feel to it with wooden floors and an AGA in the downstairs kitchen. The breakfast was simply scrumptious. We would go again - very soon!

We stayed here whilst attending our friends wedding in Godwick. We felt very welcome, had a good nights sleep and enjoyed a fabulous breakfast in warm surroundings. Don't look any further, book it now! ;)

The hosts were friendly caring people. The accommodation was elegant and charming with every comfort provided. A delicious breakfast with fresh fruits to accompany cereals and a full cooked breakfast that was second to none! We highly recommend a visit.

We stayed at this delightful B&B while walking the 'Peddars' Way' as it is right on the route. 'Wicken View' was excellent value for money, being spotlessly clean and comfortable. Polished pine floors, large sash windows, original fireplaces and an intriguing old mirror with cage doors gave our room a period feel, while a roll top bath added to the luxury. Breakfast included generous portions, superbly cooked, and lots of variety. The hosts are very friendly and clearly very thorough. Highly recommended!

Great place to stay. Hosts really accommodating - took us in Castle Acre to have dinner. Breakfast superb and the cleanest B&B Ive ever stayed in! Great location for visits to surrounding area - or for walking Peddar's Way and Norfolk Coastal Path.
Great value for money - definitely going back

We had the pleasure of staying in this fabulous guest house whilst walking the Pedders Way. Lovely owners, beautiful house and a warm soak in the roll top bath is heaven. Would highly recommend, especially if doing the pedders way and need a little bit of luxury... Great value for money.
