“Fantastic!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 21, 2013

We stayed at Millstream for 3 nights from 16th of August in the family Harvest room. From the minute we arrived to our departure on the Monday, it was fantastic. The room was great, everything was new with quality fittings, the bathroom was big with a great walk in shower. The views across the fields to beach was great. Now the best bit, Mary the owner. She was brilliant, she microwaved the child's milk, cooked the best full English breakfast I have ever had, the best host we have ever stayed with, and we have stayed in some pretty good places over the years costing twice as much per night! This is her first season and she has got it spot on, we would have gave her a 10/10 but being mega picky here, she didn't have a child high chair as the child struggled to reach the table at breakfast sitting on a cushion on a chair, but she put out all kids cutlery and plates and cups, not many people do that! I would recommend Millstream to anyone and we shall certainly be staying there again in the very near future!

Room Tip: Go for the Harvest room even if its just a couple, massive room!

Stayed here with 2 friends for 4 nights in July to photograph birds. The house is in its own grounds and in a quiet location close to the coast. As there are only 3 bedrooms, we had the place to ourselves. Our hostess, Mary, was very helpful with everything, and provided a great full English breakfast in the communal dining/living room, with tea and cakes at 4ish included if you are back in time. Bedrooms are very nicely appointed with tea-making facilities and the very modern bathrooms have all the necessaries. A very comfortable stay and thoroughly recommended. One small concern - the soundproofing in the bathrooms could be better.

We had a wonderful stay at Mary's B&B!

We arrived an hour earlier than check-in and Mary let us leave our car on the drive-way whilst we explored the area to avoid the pesky car park charge down the road!

Then after check-in we were welcomed with tea and homemade brownies and flapjacks which were divine. I had also noticed that there were homemade oatmeal biscuits in the room along with different types of tea; camomile, mint and regular.

In the evening Mary recommended different places to eat with their postcodes for the satnav. We ate at the Dun Cow in the next village which was really nice! I had the lobster cooked in butter and garlic and m partner had the lamb which was incredibly tender.

The room was cosy and the decor was tasteful. The shower was amazingly powerful and there were lots of toiletries to choose from; including cotton pads to take my make-up off with- very useful!

Breakfast was yummy with lots of fresh fruit and yoghurt to start with.

There were comfy sunlounger chairs outside and a roof terrace that looked over the fields. Mary was absolutely wonderful; she couldn't have been more helpful! And her dog was absolutely bonkers! (She did warn me before I asked if I could play with it!)

Overall, a fantastic little B&B and I would definitely recommend this to anyone; old, young, couples, singles or families :D

Room Tip: Even if you choose the smallest room it's fine. We stayed in the smallest room (or cosiest as I...

Stayed here for 1 night last week. from the momnet we arrived the welcome from Mary was so warm. Tea and Cakes waiting for us in the dinning room. We had our 2 boys (7 months and 30 months), and nothing was too much trouble for Mary. Extra milk for the children before bed. Family room was the best we have stayed in. Very spacious, views of the sea and a superb bathroom with walk in shower. WiFi is available as is freeview TV. We made use of the balcony when the children went to bed. The lawn at the front is great for little ones to run around. Ideally located for the beach. Breakfast was lovely the only fault being we were only there for 1 night. Highly recommended. We will definitely return. Thank you Mary

Room Tip: The Family Room is the best family room we have ever stayed in. Spacious, great bathroom, very very...

Stayed for one night with Mary. Very accommodating. Lovely home from home. Stayed in Harvest - a triple room that was huge and had a sea view and an enormous walk in shower. Really nice breakfast with lovely tea and cake the afternoon before. Really welcoming to the two of us and our doggie. Will definitely visit again if in the area.

We recieved a very warm welcome from Mary with great cream scones waiting for us on the dining table. The breakfast was great and along with a lovely room with fantastic shower it made for a peacful and relaxing night. Our dog was also made very welcome. Just a shame we couldn't stay any longer!

An ideal place to stay with everything you could possibly want or need. Our room was lovely, with an amazing walk-in shower in the ensuite. It was a shame the local pub wasn't serving food on Sundays but we found somewhere good nearby.
