What a welcoming place the Old Craft Barn is. The proprietors, Carrol and Joe really made us feel welcome.

The accommodation is clean, spacious and well furnished with ample parking space.

We were welcomed with Tea, homemade lemon curd and scones and were able to relax with a peaceful view of the Dent countryside.

Be prepared for Breakfast - all we can say is, beautiful. The array of choice beats the greater majority of places we stay. Traveling internationally and very often - this is a huge compliment. Whatever you pick to start your day will be cooked and served to perfection. Not only finely cooked and served but also great servings - do not plan on having a large lunch!

In summary - this is one of the nicest places we have stayed this year. Without hesitation I would recommend you try the Old Craft Barn. There is no doubt that we will return when visiting this part of the country again.

Room Tip: For couples, try the Hay Loft

I couldn't recommend this place enough. The owners, Carrol and Joe Stephenson were very friendly and hospitable, making us feel very welcome. The specification of the rooms and general attention to detail were quite outstanding. The breakfast in the morning was first class. probably the best B and B we have ever stayed in, we shall be back!

Having been to many B&Bs we 4 decided it was the best . Breakfasts were excellent in quality & quantity and Carol & Joe were wonderful hosts. Rooms were first class and the location great. We stayed for 7 nights with friends and were all very impressed with the attention to detail in everything. Top of our list in the UK!

We stayed here for two nights whilst attending a meditation day. It was the perfect location for a relaxing weekend, helped by the fantastic weather. We stayed in the Hayloft and didn't want to leave! I felt so refreshed on the Monday morning - I had to attend a job interview and got the job!! We cannot fault this fabulous b and b and hope to return soon.

We travelled through the UK and Europe for 8 weeks, staying at nearly 20 different hotels, B & B's, self catering and this was the simply the best. Carrol and Joe are so welcoming, paying attention to every detail. Joe's breakfast are all very yummy, try the lemon curd, We chose the Hayloft, which was spacious and extremely comfortable. They have really thought of everything to ensure that all their guests enjoy their stay in this beautiful area. On a personal note I must give thanks for their part in making my husbands birthday so special, he will always remember his birthday in Dent!

Having just had our third stay at this top quality bed and breakfast, we find that 'perfect' is the best way to describe the service on offer. Every last detail is attended to in terms of the booking arrangements, the very comfortable and tastefully decorated accommodation and the splendid breakfast. It is a bonus that Joe and Carrol take a real but unobtrusive interest in their guests. Getting away from it all is successfully achieved in this quiet location, yet it really is only about 20 minutes from the M6.

We stayed at the Old Craft Barn in Dent for four days in glorious spring weather. A nice house in a very pretty setting, with welcoming hosts Carrol and Joe looking after guests really well, with lots of little special touches (homemade cakes, bread, own brand toiletries), and a lot of attention to detail. Nicely furnished comfortable immaculate rooms (we stayed in the Hayloft), and award-winning breakfasts prepared by Joe (really deserving of an award!), putting any hotel breakfast in the shade. Lovely setting for walks right from the house, or within short driving distance to beautiful places in the Dales. We would certainly recommend staying there, and would like to visit again ourselves.
