This treasure of a place has been a longstanding favourite of our family and friends for many years. It just gets better and better and though we live in Cambridge, it's always worth the journey. We've regularly cycled there either as a destination or en route to the Suffolk coast and the welcome we receive is extremely warm. The food and setting is superb and to have the shop to mooch in as well is a huge bonus.

We attended a friends retirement dinner in January and were very impressed with the venue and the food. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, the large converted barn which houses the restaurant was lovely and the food was very enjoyable. We plan to visit during the day to see the vineyards, shop etc and perhaps to have lunch.

Eating at the Leaping Hare is always a delight. There is no hurry so not just the food but the atmosphere can be enjoyed at leisure. The grounds make for a pleasant afternoon walk but we found the gardens between regimes and therefore a bit neglected. With another visit next spring I hope to find them back as they were and as delightful as everywhere else at Wyken.

Had numerous meals here and have never had a bad one. We always eat in the main restaurant. Great local produce prepared by a very talented chef. Try the wine out with your meal then head next door to buy a case. The rose has been fabulous the last few years.

Whilst it is always fun to browse around the shop....( I used to call it ''Harrod'' because its full of posh gifts !!....for this neck of the woods ).......
Recently lower stock levels have left me leaving without a purchase.A very poor Christmas display in 2011, and one or two slightly toffee nosed serving in the shop. I do hate snobs.
Only eaten lunch in the restaurant once.......never again...tiny portion, vastly overpriced and a portion of chicken with blood by the bone.
HOWEVER....tea and scones in the amazing barn...jolly well worth it !!!! A touch of class .
Farmers market classy, colourful and well stocked for a small affair.
The house in a pleasure to admire and immaculate gardens are definitely a highlight to visit.
Overall, a pleasure to visit, and a highlight for this locality
