Went here on a Saturday night with some friends who live locally. It was so bad I signed up on here just to comment. Thought it looked ok when we arrived, real fire, quite busy. Firstly they don't stock any alcopops (disappointed teenage daughter) and was offered a Magners instead. None of the staff was proactive, we had to Ordered 2 starters which were ok and then waited AGES for main courses. We ordered 5 main courses- 4 of which went uneaten. Ordered 2 beef and merlot pies with green bean medley. One came with peas and the other with the green bean medley. The steak cut chips looked like those that float around in the fryer (black, charred) The lasagne was burnt around the edges. Worst by a country mile was the steak and kidney pudding. It came with mash but we asked for steak cut chips instead. It arrived with mash. It was FREEZING cold in the middle and the root veg was cold. 2 portions of the chips with the other meals weren't steak cut but thin. Called the waiteress over and explained, she went away and brought another staff member who went away and brought the manager who was RUDE. She got right in my husband's face and didn't say a word, just staring at him, wide eyed, very strange! Ok, they didn't charge us for any of the meals BUT we still spent £50 on 2 bottles of wine and soft drinks and went back to our friend's house and cooked something out of the freezer. This place could be fantastic with a decent chef and a decent manager.

Went here for a drink and it is very easy to find (opposite the Shell Petrol Station) with two Car Parks (the main one where you enter under the arch) or a very small one immediately outside the front.

It is warm, cosy and inviting once you enter. The staff are friendly and it was clean.
