“Worth the visit”

Booked the restaurant based on previous Tripadviser reviews and we where not disappointed.

We dined at the Lamb to celebrate my partners birthday. Welcomed in the bar by name! Given menus to peruse over a glass of wine, a good selection available. The restaurant is pleasantly decorated, the music discrete, the lighting just right.

The menu had a number of interesting dishes on offer, two being vegetarian. Service was excellent from the young staff, attentive without being overwhelming. The food was excellent, well presented and very tasty.

We will certainly be visiting the Lamb again. A reservation is recommended.

“The perfect venue for food, service and atmosphere”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 14, 2013

Our honeymoon experience of a lobster Thermidor 40 years ago requires us to have one once a year. The lamb produced the best example of the dish that we have had in all these years. Although not normally on the menu this preordered item was produced in such style. The staff make you feel special and the cost was very reasonable. Where else can you get a large whole lobster each for £25 with all the salad and perfectly cooked vegetables we could eat, oh and those home made chunky chips!

“Great local eaterie”

I have not been to The Lamb for many years but having heard so many rave reviews thought I had better remedy this. What a transformation to the interior decor, lovely bar area and very well laid out restaurant with actual comfy chairs!
Plenty to chose from, we made sure we all had something different so we could sample more. Beautifully presented plates of food, good size portions and great flavours. Enjoyed every mouthful.
A special mention to the Tuesday night staff who were a credit to The Lamb and themselves. Will happily recommend and will be going back again soon hopefully!

One wonders why the reviewer would bother to write a review when they only had a quick drink and a starter. They say the menu is good and its nice to sit outside...........end of story.............????? 3 stars average.
Very odd, it does not tell any interested reader anything useful. However it does drag down The Lamb's rating. Its one of the things Tripadvisor should pay more attention to as reviews such as this are appearing too often and give a false impression of an establishments rating.
