Been there a few times now and find the staff very chirpy. The food is pretty good but each time I've been the menu's haven't varied much, if any. It's not cheap but it's about the going rate these days and it's a nice pub, well, restuarant. The garden's great in the warmer weather and it's a nice place to hang out. My main gripe is they only put a frozen puff pastry lid balanced on the top of their casseroles to make a pie, that's not a pie.

I was a first time visitor to The Spotted Cow in Angmering, I was greeted on arrival by a very friendly chap named Jamie, his attitude towards the customer was absolutely on the money. Service was great, food was piping hot and fresh, overall a wonderful experience in a wonderful location, this is a pub that I would have no trouble taking business clients, friends or family to for lunch, dinner or just a quiet drink in the country.

Michael and Naomi host the best pub restaurant in West Sussex - the food is excellent, wonderful fresh vegetables and beautifully prepared dishes, all cooked to order. We always take visitors to The Cow, and we have never been anything other than delighted by the food, service and ambience. The fact that it is always busy says everything about the place. Highly recommended, but book at the weekend, or you won't get a table. Incidentally, they also have a great range of real ales.
Just go and check it out. You won't be disappointed.

We had lunch at the Spotted Cow. It was surprisingly quiet but it was mid-week. The food was excellent, with good sized portions and friendly service. I had the vegetarian special for the day which was one of the best veggie meals I've eaten for sometime. This is a pub not a restaurant so don't expect fine dining but you will get reasonable value and well-kept beer. My only grumble was the background 'piped' music which I always find intrusive.

Recommended by friends, but sadly food was average.. Very welcoming staff, nice ambience & decor. They had run out of prawns on a Saturday night which was a shame but they found some filo prawns instead which sounded great, sadly very overcooked, greasy & very small. Hubby's scallops were superb, definitely far superior to the filo prawns.
My ribeye steak was truly terrible, cooked exactly to my liking but just about every mouthful
was either gristle or fatty, very very disappointed.
The cost is on a par with the 6 Bells at Lyminster which we love, so will not be returning here. Might just have been unlucky that night but not worth the risk..
