There is no doubt that the quality of food is just stunning - on par with some of the best restaurants I have ever been to in Thailand itself.
The trouble is, the venue is tiny (and so are the portions). It is a converted terraced house, so if you get the table by the front door, not only is one of you sitting on the window seat, a good foot higher than those on chairs and one of you has the front door directly behind you and therefore constantly subject to freezing draughts and bumps from incoming diners.
You come away with the feeling that you have been taken advantage of. That because the food is so good, you will just accept the uncomfortable surroundings, average service, tiny portions and absolute top prices. It is such a shame, because really good Thai food is quite rare but this restaurant is just too pretentious for me.
