“Always excellent”

We stayed in Kiki and have stayed in other rooms over the years (Vettriano, Citronnelle). I do recommend the Courtyard Rooms as they are spacious and have doors to a terrace area with seating and a table to enjoy the warmer months.

The rooms are immaculate and expertly cleaned. The fruit, water and madeira are appreciated and the range of bathroom products in the large bathrooms are very good. There is no spa or swimming pool in the hotel and the gardens are the main attraction when the weather is good (outside of the hotel!).

We have experienced the cookery school for a day which was excellent fun with a nice team lunch and food to take away, but of course the star of the show is the restaurant. The dinners have afforded us the most wonderful beef and lamb main courses as well as the tasting menus (they can be flexible with a course or two). The wine is wonderful, and is priced accordingly. Breakfasts are extensive and excellent quality.

Le Manoir is special and is priced accordingly. As a special occasion it is a real treat and they even treat the little ones very well (as they did with us recently, arranging a very nice cot, teddy bear, baby sitter and toys). It really is very special and we hope to go back soon.

Room Tip: Courtyard Rooms are a few hundred pounds more but much bigger and with french doors to the courtyard...

Just celebrated a 'big' birthday with a lovely family lunch here. It was perfect! And we especially liked the separate vegetarian menu which meant everyone in the party had an equally special and positive experience.

Beautiful setting, gorgeous food and the staff and service is superb and make you feel very special and welcome. Have been several times now and every visit is magical. I do believe this is the best restaurant I have ever eaten. Will definitely save up and come back.

Superb day at our first visit to Le Manoir. This was a Christmas present from my brother, a 7 course lunch menu. Service from the start was excellent and the food didn't disappoint either. Lunch was booked at 12.15 for 12.45pm.
However as we live in London (and had to get back for the babysitter) we booked the taxi for 3.45pm thinking this would give us plenty of time to savour the 7 courses. Unfortunately this was not the case and we had to rush the 6th course and miss out on dessert and coffee. What a shame as we came away feeling a little rushed and didn't quite have the "total" experience that we had been so looking forward to for 6 months.
When booking the table I do think the reservations staff should let all guests know how long to give themselves for such a lunch, especially as they knew that we would be using taxis and were coming from London. I did mention to the waiter what time the taxi was booked for 1.5hrs before the taxi arrived but assume the kitchen was so busy it couldn't have sped up the service. Perhaps we could have been asked if we would prefer cheese or dessert if there was no chance of getting through all the courses.......
Nonetheless the food we had was most delicious and we would certainly recommend Le Manoir for a very special occasion

Having just returned from Le Manoir the dinner and accommodation was out of this world.

Impeccably well trained and friendly staff who couldnt do enough to make your stay memorable, what more could one ask for and worth every penny.

Everywhere so immacutale clean and the attention to detail is amazing.

This has got to be the finest hotel/restaurant in the whole of England.

LONG MAY IT REIGN.

I had long awaited my visit to le manoir and it was not to disapoint. From the moment you walk through the doors the attention to detail is unrivalled in any establishment I have ever visited . The service strikes the perfect balance of being warm and attentive without being to much . The food is faultless in every way delivered with a professional and elegant manner . I went for the celebration package which included the most amazing room, champagne, chocolates, roses, 2 nine course taster menus and breakfast . Every little aspect exceeded all expectations . The very best way to celebrate any of lifes big milestones . I will be saving hard to return with my now fiancee. A footnote to a young trainee john . OUTSTANDING.
The perfect day .

This has got to be the most fabulous hotel in the country, in beauty, charm, history, elegance, friendliness and willingness to please. It is sheerly stunning to look at and absolutely immaculate. Service is second to none and driven by a genuine desire to please, not just because they are being paid to be there.
Food is incredible to look at and to taste and its really not a stuffed shirt atmosphere, rather relaxed elegance.
We were looked after impeccably during the whole of our stay, right from the moment I picked the phone up to book in with them.
The room( Anais) was amazing with our own log burner, a tremendous bathroom and the comfiest bed on the planet with an 8 inch mattress topper on it, amazing.
Of course all this comes at a price which I was totally expecting and paid in full in advance so I didn't have to think about coming up with that sort of money at the end of our two night stay. My only issue was the price of the drinks, not the fancy bottles of wine that you order to go with a fabulous dinner, but just normal drinks. A glass of house wine, 125 ml £12
A cocktail £17, a 300ml bottle of beer £9
A bit steep considering you're already paying over £1.5k a night to stay there.
Also be aware if you are going on the nine course taster menu experience that on your second night, if you choose from the a'la carte menu, which is already priced incredibly starting at £42 for a starter and & £54 for a main and £28 for a dessert which in my mind adds upto £124 per person actually came out at £500 for the two of us because we didn't go for the taster menu again.
It just spoilt the end of our stay as we felt a bit ripped off.
If you are going to treat yourself and a loved one for a special occasion it's fabulous but take an extra £1000 with you for all the bits you're not expecting.
