Being lucky enough to live local we decided to call by Castle Kitchens on our first outing with our new born. It was a lovely sunny day and we managed to get a spot in the court yard (buggy and all). Yes this place is small but that is what gives it its character and creates a lovely friendly atmosphere. The food is always lovely and freshly cooked. You don't even have to feel guilty about giving in and having that tempting slice of cake because you can burn it off by walking the steep hill to the castle to take in the best panoramic view of Montgomeryshire.
Lovely clean baby changing facilities available.

This has become a regular stop off of ours as we are lucky enough to live close to this delightful cafe/tearoom. In the Autumn it is a delight to sit upstairs overlooking the square and the customers off to Bunners! In the winter the little wood burner provides a warming glow-you can even reserve a table downstairs if you ring in advance- and booking is recommended as this little spot is very popular. The specials board always boasts a delightful range of soups, flans, pies, homemade cakes and quiches. The staff are very friendly and were only to happy to slightly adapt the menu to meet exactly what you feel like answering. The hot spiced apple is a great winter warmer and sitting outside in the small courtyard garden in the summer with a glass of Luscombe fizz is a must! The little town of Monty has much to offer and it is a pleasure to have such a great place to eat a snack, have morning coffee, afternoon tea or a relaxing lunch. I have yet to try their evening menu-but will do soon!

We popped in for lunch on the way home from holiday and were very pleasantly surprised. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

The menu choice was great and good value for money. Will definitely make a detour here again!

This cafe/restaurant should not be missed! Popped in for breakfast and despit not having it on the menu I was served the most delightful scrambled egg and bacon on delicious home made bread. Always friendly, happy staff serving wonderful home-cooked goodies, this should not be missed!

We called in with my grandson for lunch on Monday. The staff were helpful and willing to serve a child's portion of hummus and bread for my grandson and wrapped up us what he left to take home. The service for a second cup of coffee and cake was a little slow considering there were four members of staff working behind the counter, but they were very pleasant. The food was very good especially the Victoria Sponge cake.
