11 of us together for a 80th birthday party mix of seniors adult adults and young children. Hotel couldn't do enough to accommodate us before and during our stay. Tables decorated and dressed great waiting and bar staff. Good menu and standard of good. Friendly Reception. A wonderful visit which helped make our celebration even better. Good service proffesional helpful courteous and unobstrusive. Thanks very much

Friendly staff
Excellent night's sleep in quiet surroundings (only 6 guests when we stayed)
Breakfast well prepared and waitress a real character

Areas for improvement:
Bathroom fan didn't work but did make a deeply irritating noise for 20-30 minutes after the light was switched off.
Phone didn't work (meant I had to go to reception to try and resolve the fan issue)
Some areas appeared to have been painted recently, other areas appeared tired and too many visible cracks in walls/ceilings etc.
Lack of leisure facilities

Gathered here for a family birthday celebration. We met in a lounge area before moving into the dining room. The room looked freshly decorated with cream swags on the windows. The long table was beautifully set out. The food was really delicious and hot. Only quibble, I think we could have enjoyed bowls of veg on the table instead of on the plate.

Room Tip: didn't stay the night here

My husband & I stayed here for the last flat race meeting of the year at Chester Races. We've stayed here previously many times. Always enjoy staying in Rossett. Hotel is lovely & staff too. Only fault we found this time was the breakfast on the Saturday morning as we had to order it instead of self serve. Not very nice when it arrived. Black pudding was inedible & rest of it was cold. I had to also ask for some sliced bread to toast as none was left out. Coffee was cold too!! The young girl working on her own looked as though she could have done with some help, very flustered she was. Our bedroom- we paid extra for a deluxe room this time & was disappointed with supposedly our double bed- it was 2 singles pushed together, uncomfortable to say the least!! When we stay next year again will mention this as don't want a repeat of that!! First time had a little quibble about the hotel but always stay here & don't want to change really!!

Visited 23rd September as birthday weekend surprise for husband, wanted to stay in Chester but glad I chose otherwise. Was a little concerned as have stayed at hotels before where weddings have been going on and have been overlooked as a non wedding guest but needn't have worried here.

Had paid a bit more and booked a suite (room 52) which looked newly refurbished, new carpets, bathroom massive with roll top bath and a shower you could have had a party in!! This overlooked the car park at front on top floor over what I think would have been reception in the original building (also over wedding disco but couldnt hear anything).

Only slight room for improvement would be to fix the window 'openers' in both bed and bathroom as one on each was broken(may be more of a problem in winter), a small fitted wardrobe in bedroom rather than metal hanging rail which didn't look inkeeping with style of room and 'fluffy' dressing gowns rather than crispy! None of these detracted from our stay though.

We dined at Oscars restaurant which was lovely from start to finish, food and service all very good, it's sometimes the little things that make a great stay and attentive service goes along way, all staff seemed to work very hard. Breakfast was the same, good and plenty of choice and food replenished regularly, croissants might be a nice addition if I was being picky! I

Wish could have stayed longer and after a dire afternoon tea in Chester so glad I chose Rossett Hall, would definitely recommend and would'nt hesitate to stay again.

Room Tip: Suites are newly refurbished in original part of hotel
