Spent a long weekend at the Buckley Arms Hotel. What a great find. Could not fault the welcome and friendliness from owners Keith & Gay and daughter, Kellie. Made to feel very welcome. The hotel was in a superb location and was a great base to visit likes of Powis Castle, Betws y-coed and Bodnant.

Stayed in a superb large and comfortable bedroom (Sir Edmund Buckley) with a huge bathroom. Tremendous views from bedroom.

Used the Hotel Bistro for the three nights and was again, not disappointed. Keith keeps a good pint!. Good choice of food and quality for breakfast also.

Would have no hesitation in staying again, hopefully later in the year

Visited Snowdonia for the first time and found The Buckley Arms Hotel on the internet. What a great find! Our room, Snowdon, was large and very comfortably furnished; lots of storage, upholstered chairs and a really comfortable bed. The bathroom was large, very clean with a bath and separate, large, shower. The view to the valley at the rear of the hotel is wonderful. The owners and staff are friendly and most helpful. Food and drinks excellent. Excellent value for money. All in all a really nice and relaxing experience.

We've recently spent two nights in this hotel and were very happy with its standard and service provided. The hotel is very clean and lovely furnished. Our room (Snowdon) was spacious and tastefully furnished, its windows overlooking lovely green valley. The breakfast was very nice and we also enjoyed our evening vegetarian meal. The owners are very friendly. Good location for exploring the area.

We stayed here for a relaxing Whitsun break and as a base to tour southern Snowdonia. It fulfilled both criteria very well. There is a small bistro bar attached to the hotel which serves meals from a simple menu with a few 'specials'.
The rooms are lovely - not modern in any way but spotlessly clean, roomy and with all the facilities you would want - TV with Freeview, tea/coffee, lots of storage, armchairs and a fantastic view through a huge window (we stayed in the room called Snowden) plus a big bathroom with bath and separate shower.
Breakfast is very good - full cooked if you wish or any combination of items - it is taken in a huge spacious room which is the restaurant (not used at this time but no doubt busy at peak periods). There is not an obvious different restaurant menu and this seems odd as you might expect something different and better than the Bistro menu.
The bar is well stocked offering at least one local real ale plus regular brewery beer and lager plus a reasonable range of spirits and liqueurs.
Staff are attentive and keen to make your stay an enjoyable one - happy to advise on the local area and where and when to visit. They actually live on site and are available at all times should it be necessary.
We had a really pleasant stay and would return if we chose to visit the area again.
