“A Wonderful Stay After a Long Days Walk”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 14, 2011

After having walked all the way from Inverarnan on the West Highland Way in the pouring rain, the Inveroran Hotel nestling beside Loch Tulla was such a welcoming site and we were not disappointed!! Our hosts Gavin & Elaine were fabulous with a warm welcome and friendly greeting. Our room was well appointed, Elaine took care of our wet gear and we settled down to one of the best evening meals of the whole trip. Deer grazing just outside our room was idyllic and the atmosphere in the hotel was great. Top marks and we will most definitely be back!

An extremely lovely place to stay with a warm and friendly atmosphere. A quaint cross between a B&B and a hotel creates a homely atmosphere without feeling like you're staying in someone's house!

For us, this was an ideal place to stay over as part of our west highland way trip.

The food was tasty and pleantiful in both the evening and at breakfast (possibly the best sticky toffee pudding I've ever had!). There's also a cosy bar for anyone after a few drinks as well.

This was a fantastic spot to stop overnight. Extremely friendly and welcoming staff which was exactly what we needed after a 23 mile slog in the pouring rain and high winds. Good home cooked meal - 3 courses for £15 - and following morning's breakfast again was tasty and plentiful. Very comfortable and spacious room and for anyone who had wet & dirty clothes then ample dry facilities. Also, a good little bar for a couple of sociable ones to round the day off.

Absolutely brilliant and would recommend the Inveroran as a great place to stay on the WHW!!!

Stayed here a year ago and am pleased to say that many of the issues have been addressed. No complaints about either the food or the portion size this time. Evening meal and breakfast were both plentiful and enjoyable. The haggis is recommended. We had a clean, comfortable double room. Deer appeared outside the hotel. Service was friendly. One slightly odd touch was having to order dinner on arrival but this was a minor issue.

Didn't stay here but turned up at 8:30 looking for breakfast/packed lunches prior to along day in the hills and after staying at the disaster that is the WHW Sleeper in Bridge of Orchy. Lovely Irish lady agreed to feed our party of three (and another party of five following us) at 15 minutes notice. Breakfast lovely/ packed lunch adequate if a little expensive. Staff were really good. With this type of service I am sure overnight stay would also be great in such a stunning and remote location.

We stayed here during our walk of the West Highland Way. we arrived absolutely soaked and miserable, and were looked after by one of the staff who was lovely, making us tea and not minding us dripping on the carpet. The room was huge, actually with room for four. There was ample room to hang our wet things up to dry. The evening meal was delicious as was breakfast, but it was the staff who made the difference to me, they couldn't have been nicer.

Where have some of these reviewers from, Mars. This Hotel is situated 3 miles well off the beaten track.
Three of us had just finished a hard very wet day on The West Highland Way. Arrival to this small Hotel was heaven sent. I do not understand what some reviewers expect. All staff were friendly helpful courteous and prepared to spend time listening to our woes but still smile. Evening meal was spot on and would probably cost around £45 anywhere. The reviewer who commented on the meagre breakfast should have read past the first line of the menu. I shared the twin room in the annex and we had the bathroom all to ourselves, which was explained, plus a large cosy comfortable bedroom, no problem with Television reception either.
Cracking Guinness, kept well, and I know.
What else can I say really, scenery is fantastic, hotel is comfortable, food is great, staff are friendly and helpful. This is what I expect from a Hotel and it must take a lot of hard graft and a thick skin keeping up the standards when you get some of the comments I read on this site.
