We stayed here one night as our flight to Ireland left early in the morning. We were a bit apprehensive as the previous reviews were not great but because my husband has stayed here a couple of years ago and felt it was a good spot to overnight, we gave it a try. It was fine. It's not luxurious but it was clean and good value. The bar was ok and the food in the dining room surprisingly good. There is a free shuttle to and from the airport. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you need easy access to the airport.

I was part of a party of 20 that stayed 2 nights in the hotel for the 70/80's night. I must say after reading the reviews I was very aprehensive before the event.
Im not sure what people are expecting for their miney at this hotel but what we got was worth every penny and more, I may have stayed in nice/pricy hotels but never had as good a weekend.
We all were provided with upgraded rooms at no extra charge, the rooms yes were very warm and the heating could not be turned down but were very clean and comfortable.
The staff were first class and took care of our every needs, they even gave us a private room for dinner on the 2nd night which then turned into our own private party.
We will look forward to returning again.

Worst Hotel ever stayed in, however appears to be permamently busy. Avoid at all cost. Should be demolished.

It started off by the reception staff allocating my Husband and I a room that was a lesser standard than what had been booked. When questioned the response was that you are not guaranteed executive room, even when paid!!!!! However on producing the confirmation/paper work which was supplied at a later time they changed their response and our room.

The non upgraded room wasn't fit for animals and the upgraded room was a 3* at a push. The heating in the rooms can not be altered, making it a very hot and sticky environment. Once you manage to get the windows opened, it was almost impossible to close and when your room is right above the entrance you get a lot of noise and smoke drifting into your room. The noise continues into the corridors and thus making a two night stay into 48hour worth of no sleep.

Most of the hotel is grotty, however dinner was quite nice on one of the two nights. Although they could do with putting the sauce that accompanies meat dishes in a seperate jug, rather than over the entire plate.

The leisure facilities are ok, however the jacuzzi wasn't working, the sauna had no water to heat the room. The wooden panneling that was once pine is now black. Also work taking place around pool area too. Cleaning staff within the swimming area were rude.

Also note there is nowhere you can walk to in the surrounding area. All in all it's like paying to stay in prison!!!!

We have just returned from a one night stay at The Erskine Bridge Hotel. We booked the hotel as part of a golden wedding celebreation. We attended a 70's and 80's theme event in the hotel.

On first impressions from the outside the hotel seemed very dated and dirty and was built from old style concrete. It resembled an old hospital. I thought i was going to be proved wrong when i entered as the reception area was very nice and had a modern feeling. Check in was slow and the staff member never told us when when we had to check out, what time breakfast was or what time our party night was starting. We were given a superior room on the third floor.

When we entered the room i couldn't believe that the room was considered to be superior. The only superior part of the room was the door. The curtains had holes in them, the bed sheets had holes in them and also had stains on the quilt. There was an old style tv in the corner and the walls were in a need of a fresh lick of paint. The bath was dated and the plastic had scraped off it at the bottom. A blue stain was also etched into it. The shower had a leak which turned the floor into a swimming pool, there was no ventilation so it got very warm after a shower and Two of the lights in the room wouldn't switch on. We asked for a change of room but were told there were no other superior rooms available and the only choice was to downgrade. We didn't do this as we wouldn't like to think what a standard room would be like if this was considered a superior room. We also asked for a change of bed sheet and curtains. The reception staff told us the duty manager would be up to have a look at it but no one appeared.
The view was a plus point of the room, there was a lovely view of the bridge. It looked very nice at night with the lights and the River Clyde running under it.

Ona arrival to the function area i noticed the walls had holes in them and paper was peeling off the walls. The toilets had puddles on the floor and had a strong smell of urine. The function hall itself was nice and very spacious. The function was moslty hen nights and I would't recommend it for older travellers. Drinks were pricey which was expected. There was a four course meal which was tasty and staff seemed helpful.

When were arrived back to our room were were woken up at 4' o clock in the morning by which sounded like a party in the room above us. The walls seemed paper thin and all we could hear was high heels and shouting. The corridor was also very nosiy. All night we could hear people talking and doors chapping. Cleaners were out early in the morning and also made a lot of noise. So we didn't have a comfy sleep. We decided to skip breakfast and check-out.

Overall I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone, there are so many nicer hotels in the glasgow area close to the airport. The hotel is dated, and in major need of refurbishment throughout. Reception staff and the website say the hotel is under refurbishment and would be completed by the end of March. This was the end of march and only the rooms on the first floor have been refurbished. It seems they are using this as an excuse for the state of the place. There was no sign of any work going on in the hotel. I would even go as far as saying they should demolish the hotel and start again as the area is lovely it's just a shame it has an eyesore of a hotel spoiling it.

We have just returned from a weekend break at the Erskine Bridge Hotel, fab food, excellent valentines party and the most pleasant, helpful and polite staff I have ever met. The only thing that was wrong was the weather and no one can be blamed for that. Next time we visit (and there will definitely be a next time) we hope to visit in the summer months.
Well done Erskine Bridge Hotel and to the management - you should be very proud of the staff you have.

We love this hotel - fantastic value for money. The food is outstanding, always well presented and delicious. The leisure facilities are also great - pool, sauna, jacuzzi, steam room. The rooms are clean and comfortable, but could do with a lick of paint. The website says all rooms are to be refurbished in the next year.
We always have a great stay in this hotel.

appauling.
at least the the lobby and bar area is no longer a building site.
they say they are refurbishing the hotel, but theyve been doing this for well over a year.

The whole place needs to be demolished.

The rooms are a total disgrace.

On health and safety grounds the place should be closed down.
