Everything about our two night stay was perfect. The staff could not have been more friendly or accommodating. The food at dinner both nights and breakfast both mornings was delicious and excellent portions. Lovely atmosphere throughout the hotel, very quiet, stunning location and very spacious rooms.

A warm, welcoming hotel with character that is well located and easily accessible.

The rooms are spacious and fairly well decorated, spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was okay - albeit not overly modern. The bath however was a plus - unlike most hotels, the bath was large enough to lay back and relax.

A downside here was the tea/coffee/biscuit tray. While a fairly good selection was provided, it was a little bit ungenerous by only providing one packet of shortbread biscuits for a dual occupancy room!

We had both a continental breakfast and a cooked breakfast on the two days we stayed here.

The cooked breakfast was lovely. The continental breakfast too was nice.

Overall, a fairly nice place to stay.

wed often passed this hotel on heading further north, that has been our loss! wonderful room, panoramic Loch Linnhie views, the mountains with snow on are amazing. spotlessly clean! very helpful staff, food excellent and the view from the restaurant is incredible! Of its type this is the best hotel we have stayed in. we will definitely be returning!

Room Tip: rooms 9-12 are loch views, rooms 10/11 also have balconies! book well in advance as they are popular...

Having experienced a night at the Ballachulish Hotel just down the road my hopes were not high for the Onich, how wrong!

Clean, fresh, pleasant, wonderful food and atmosphere. We had a great view, through the mist and rain!

It is basic but clean with a lot of friendly staff.

We spent a weekend at this lovely, friendly hotel right on the loch. Room 11 has wonderful view of the water. Staff cannot do enough for you. Breakfast wonderful! All in all very good value for money.

I arrived in the early hours, no problem with staff as out of hours tel number provided and I'd emailed in advance. Room was just ok, could do with redecoration and new mattress, but all in all clean enough. Great choice of cooked breakfast/cereals/bagels etc and the one restaurant meal we had was lovely. Good service, friendly and efficient. Biggest complaint was on morning of departure. We had to negotiate around dirty linen on already cramped hallway floor to get out, as the cleaner thought it was a great idea to clean out every room and dump it on the floor. Apart from that, room had all the basics, coffee, TV, hairdryer. Bathroom very old but fine, shower over bath and toiletries included. Great location for us as we were skiing, Nevis range (15mins drive)Glencoe (30-40mins) and Glenshee (3hrs drive - if the high winds cause local closure)

This was our second stay at Onich as it provides us with a good convenient overnight stop. The room was clean and comfortable, staff friendly and helpful, and their menu has a good choice of food which is well cooked, and can be taken in either the bar (dogs allowed) or the restaurant (dogs excluded) The staff set our breakfast in the bar so our two dogs could accompany us. Thank you Onich Hotel for a very pleasant night's stay.
