“Amasing food but cold atmosphere”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 3, 2010

During a trip to Fort William, we had a saturday night dinner in this restaurant. To be honest we were close to cancel this dinner because the restaurant is really lost around the loch. But the road worth it. The seafood is so fresh! Amasing things in your plate! A point which can be improved, the decoration. It's a little bit too cold, they should need a designer to help and make this place really amazing. But I would say that you come in this place for the food, so the design doesn't matter for some people.
We knew that scottish people are eating very early (we are french), but we arrived in tis restaurant around 8.00pm ... and we were not already at the dessert (9.30) ... the kitchen was closed, everything cleaned and the light turned off... Not very common for a restaurant. :)

“Great seafood resturant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 26, 2009

I have been here several times, and have yet to be disappointed. The decor is modern and minimal but the seafood is what it is all about. They farm fish and shell fish in the Loch at the front of the restuarant so a lot of the produce is really fresh. It is of very good quality, and they use interesting recipes; they do Spanish and Moroccan seafood too. There aren't many good quality resturants in Kinlochleven or Glencoe so this one deserves a visit. It's not a cheap resturant but it's good value.

“Good food served with care”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 20, 2009

We visited this amazing little cafe after recommendations from two local B&B owners. We were not disappointed. We ate the Tomato Rissotto Cake with Aubergine Puree - a tasty twist on a bowl of "regular" rissotto and the fish of the day - a whole sole. Both great. The dessert were just average, but then you don't drive just over four miles around the loch for dessert. We saw others obviously enjoying their seafood at other tables. The wine by the glass was good quality. We returned the following night for more.

“Exceptional”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 12, 2009

This is a really simple concept, fresh fish and shellfish cooked simply on the edge of Loch Leven. There are no frills, the building is little more than a shack tagged on the end of their wholesale business. There's a good little wine list and they also have a snack menu to chose from in the afternoon.
Dishes from Lobster to Clams in Cider, you can spend as little or as much as you want, but it will all be good

“You won't get seafood fresher”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 5, 2009

This is a very under stated venue designwise being an offshoot from the seafood packing companynext door. However, its simple design works well and if you can get a window seat you have a baeutiful view of Loch Leven and the back of the Glencoe pass.
The food is beautifully fresh which is not surprising considering it has only been recently pulled out of the loch. the staff are very pleasant and obliging and on both of our visits the special fish of the day has been the best choice (for myself that is).
It is not particularly cheap but that's no surprise considering the quality of the food.
For me the best eating venue in the area.
