“Golf and Dolphins ”
Reviewed June 22, 2018 for a stay in June 2018

The cottage has been beautifully renovated and nothing has been overlooked in order to provide guests with a perfect holiday experience on the Black Isle. As golfers and keen photographers what more could you ask for, with a first class golf course on your back doorstep and dolphins to view at every opportunity to the front. Booked again for next year.

“Pleasant and very comfortable”
Reviewed October 15, 2016 for a stay in September 2016

The owner was very helpful and quick to answer any queries we had. The facilities are good. Anyone wanting a quiet holiday will find this a very peaceful spot. If no car, would recommend weekly bus ticket (purchased on bus for £27) and getting local bus timetable as buses generally only once an hour. Would highly recommend visit to Dornoch and lovely beach at Embo.

“Home from home”
Reviewed August 23, 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Party consisted of 6 adults 1toddler and 1 baby. We arrived about 40 mins early but were met by the owner, no problem. The owner was very friendly, answered all questions and made several suggestions for places to visit and eat etc.. Nice welcome.
The cottage is extremely well appointed, particularly in the kitchen. Comfortable couch, armchair and rocker in the living room. Three good sized double bedrooms, two en-suite upstairs and one downstairs with adjoining bathroom. The water pressure in the showers could be better. The whole cottage is well maintained and extremely clean
There is a outside terrace at the rear with a small lawn - great for the toddler to play in.
Tucker's pub restaurant in Invergordon provided well cooked tasty dinners at a very reasonable price. Plenty of supermarkets nearby.
Invergordon golf club is worth a visit, good deal!!
I would recommend this cottage without reservation.

“Perfect Holiday Home”

Although deceivingly modest from the outside, Oystercatcher Cottage in Saltburn along the road from Invergordon has the "wow" factor indoors. The extension at the back contains a large, airy modern kitchen, and each of the two spacious double bedrooms on the first floor has its own classy en-suite, with the double bedroom downstairs all but having its own shower-room too. The stairs themselves are an attractive feature, and the front porch is an ideal sun-trap to sit and admire the beautiful views across the Cromarty Firth to the Black Isle. There is total privacy in the large garden at the back. The property is extremely well-equipped and the friendly owner was very helpful, arriving within minutes to sort a minor problem with the TV. There is a lot to see and do in the area, and the cottage is ideally placed. We have stayed in many holiday lets over the years, and this one ranks as one of the best.

“Lovely cottage and great location”

Loved our stay in the cottage. It has everything we could have wished for. The log burner was great and made the chilly October nights we stayed really cosy. The cottage is really clean and comfortable, and the welcome basket was much appreciated. The views over the Cromerty Firth were fabulous and the stony beach across the road was nice for a wee stroll. The location is ideal for touring the highlands, Cromerty, Chanonry Point, Loch Ness etc all within an easy drive. Would definitely love to stay here again and already considering booking for summer next year.
