We have eaten here 3 times now and the food is consistantly good. As locals who have had our fair share of overpriced and underwhelming food in the town, we just wish we had given this place a go a long time ago.
Well cooked, well presented, and generous portions.
Well worth a visit !!!!

I visited not expecting much as place appears to be a corner local pub. We order a variety of pub grub meals even though there were more exotic offerings on the menu. Food was all cooked to order, portions gigantic & excellent quality & value for money. Children were welcomed & catered for.
Landlord was knowledge
able & truly had a passion for the cask ales which my husband found refreshing.
Appearances can be deceptive!

We had a lovely meal last night. Scampi and proper home made chips. Unlike some places, there was plenty of scampi a proper decent man sized portion. There is a really good choice of food to suit all tastes (ranging from £7-£11 for mains)
A lovely pub atmosphere and suitable for family dining early on (no bad language / bad behaviour heard.) Staff are extremely friendly. The only tiny criticism was my peas were cold. I'm sure if asked they would have been warmed up (so my fault for not saying anything.) Otherwise my review would have been a 5.

Nothing bad to say at all! Wood burning stoves, home cooked food & a landlord who is clearly passionate about cask ales all in a semi rural setting!!!!!

Food beautiful & reasonable prices!

You must try when in area!!!!
