Went with family of 4 on a Saturday evening. Small and intimate every table full. Waiting staff were far from overbearing, they were attentive and helpful without being obtrusive.
As for the food which is what these reviews are all about. We couldn't fault it. Everyone enjoyed their meals. We have had South Indian food in India, in Brighton at Chilli Pickle and here and this can hold it's head up with the best. A tad on the pricy side, but the food and service were impressive. We shall be back for more. Also it is wheelchair accessible, a little bit tight around the tables but ramp and access in plus an accessible loo.

Really nice & tasty food, attentive staff. Good value for money, however not the cheapest Indian meal you'll ever have. Overall very nice.

This is a proper Indian restaurant, not your typical 'English Indian'. This shows itself by the menu having the vegetarian choices first, but don't panic there are good meaty dishes too. The food was excellent, and though the service suffered when the restaurant filled up, it did not ruin the meal.

The food here is lovely, although it is quite expensive. The owner was very talkative and friendly. The seating is in cornered off areas or separate rooms, which makes it quite private but hinders the atmosphere.

Seems this place gets mixed reviews, my opinion is that the food is so good all the other stuff doesn't matter.
Although my visit was fine, the waiter was attentive but not overbearing and the atmosphere was fine - cant say I noticed music or a lack of it.
Cost wise, it's no more expensive than the other new Indian in town, but it's too expensive to eat at every week, I think it worked out at about £30/person.
