Good hotel this, excellent sized rooms that are very clean spacious and airy, the bathroom is a good size too with full size bath. Despite its location we did not have any issues with traffic noise, the only issue we had was an unscheduled rude awakening due to the fire alarm being activated early in the morning! Not a regular problem though we are informed and was a result of an inconsiderate guest in another room thinking they could get away with smoking in a non smoking hotel - tut tut!

The Crown pub which shares the location was also excellent - top standard of staff and the food was very tasty and reasonably priced.

Would recommend and already have another booking in place for when we visit the area again next time.

Hotel up to usual premier standard with no issues.
Restaurant however not as good as usual. Slow service, restaurant man not helpful to bargirl who was clearly working not skiving and yet falling behind at a quiet time. Ordered the safe bet of the special, vegetables lukewarm. Glasses filthy, dishwasher needs cleaning!

I frequently stay in this area, usually at the Wyboston Lakes Hotel. I stayed at the Premier Inn recently when the Wyboston was fully booked. This Premier Inn is definately one of the better Premier Inns, rooms and communal areas are clean and well looked after, staff are freindly and welcoming. The hotel is a little closer to the A1, so traffic noise is a little louder than at the Wyboston but is still not too bad.

A recent reviewer however claimed that this Pemier Inn was "much cheaper than the major hotels". Well, first off, I don't think there are any of the "major hotels" in the area (apart from the Holiday Inn at Sandy which is appalling and should be avoided at all costs); and secondly I have always paid less at the Wyboston Lakes than the Premier Inn rate, and the Wyboston is a full service hotel with pool, gym and a restaurant.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this good Premier Inn, but the Wyboston is always my first choice.

Room Tip: Face away from the A1 if possible, but road noise is not a major issue.

Stayed here twice now on business and have to say it been perfect everytime, friendly welcome from staff and very fast checkin. The room has everything you need and is always clean and the staff are more than happy to help with anything which is wrong.

Breakfast in the crown is great with plenty of choice and the meals int he evening are spot on please try the satay chicken you won't be disappointed :-)

Good price and perfect night sleep i would suggest checking it out if you are in the area.

I booked my parents in the premier inn wyboston when the sale was on and got a brilliant deal - the rooms were great value for money. I recommend it as the room is comfortable and clean, much cheaper than major hotels!

What a warm welcome awaited us after a long and tiring journey and they were happy to change my room (I was having problems with my knee and couldn't face the stairs with my luggage) - a nice comfortable room and the meals in the pub (all wood-beamed and stone-flagged floor) was fabulous. A lovely atmosphere in both the hotel and the pub

We found the hotel easily using the postcode as our GPS took us straight to the carpark. It's located just off the A1 and because of this we were concerned about traffic noise.

We asked for a quiet room and the receptionist (Brondwin?) couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. We had room 35, which is on the side of the hotel and it was perfectly quiet.

The room itself was spacious and clean with good bed linen. The room lighting is fitted with 'electricity saving' bulbs that took ages to light to full brilliance. (Far too long!)

The room temperature was initially quite cool and it took a while to get the temperature to a comfortable level. The room thermostat is located close to the bed and it clicked rather too loudly as it regulated the temperature.

The bathroom was of a good standard, very clean & well presented for an economical hotel. The bathroom was cold however, not helped by the extraction fan that ran for about 10 minutes after the light was turned off. All the fittings worked as they should.

On the night that we were there (Sunday) the hotel was running at low capacity and it was quiet overnight, though the 'footfall' of the person in the room above us was clearly 'felt' in our room. I guess if you were unlucky enough to be below noisy people it could be a real problem.

The maids and reception staff were very pleasant and were clearly working to make quests feel welcome.

Breakfast is contracted out to the pub in the next-door building. I'm being kind in saying that the place felt tired, shabby and didn't feel clean, the food was OK but the environment was best not seen in daylight. The coffee and tea was available from thermos flasks, the coffee was the worst I have had in years. My wife wouldn't risk the tea from the thermos and was brought a fresh pot.

We complained at the hotel reception that the breakfast experience was poor and they apologised and refunded the cost. A good response in the circumstances.

My review of 4 stars is for the hotel and the staff of the Premier inn.
The breakfast (a seperate company under contract) needs some more work, 2 stars!

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room (the side edgeways on to the A1 road worked for us.) A room on the top floor av...
