Very Impressed.
Clean, well equipped room with lovely comfortable bed.
Great breakfast, both in quantity and quality (Worth paying for the full cooked breakfast and when we stayed it was only a few pounds difference).
Everyone we met couldn't have been more friendly and helpful, and made our stay something special
We have no hesitation in recommending this gem of a place to others.
Deff worth a return visit when in the area.

Room Tip: Take care not to miss it when you come off the motorway..you have to drive past and do a U-turn..

This is a fairly basic hotel very close to the M5. Rooms were OK and it was good value. Breakfast was fine, typical continental style.
There is an excellent pub next door with great food and beer.
This is ideal if, like us, you are travelling and need a convenient break.

Single room #8 - carpet a patchwork quilt of old offcuts. Stained all over and black mould all around the edge. I couldn't stay in it. Got an immediate refund, but really. Revolting. I preferred to drive all the way back home (4hrs) overnight. How much would it cost to replace a scrappy little piece of carpet?

Had a family room on the ground floor. Clean and spacious and very comfortable beds.
Plenty of storage, hairdryer and TV with Freeview box. There are printed instructions on how to operate TV but very simple. Tea/coffee/kettle and bathroom has bath/shower.
Room service is available and there is a restaurant and bar. Wifi is available only in public area not in rooms.
There is a pub next door which also serves meals. The hotel has large free car-park but it was recommended that we reserve place when booking. Cooked breakfast is available at a very reasonable £2.00 and there is a complimentary daily newspaper.
Hotel is very well placed for sight-seeing in some of the lovely surrounding villages.

I have stayed in this hotel twice now in a double and single room. Ok so the hotel looks a little tired but staff are friendly an its great value for money. I paid £24-£29 with continental breakfast included. You can pay an extra £2 for a full English breakfast. The rooms were a little outdated but clean and tidy. I would stay again.

We stayed in Room 2 which was dirty, curtains falling off curtain rails, Shower curtain rail held up by bell wire, cracked panes of glass with silicone across them, toilet black in bottom of bend, but to add to that there was a fault with the plumbing in the ceiling void directly above the bed, which shook the ceiling every quarter of an hour and continued to draw water all night. At 2.00am the problem was still not resolved and we virtually had no sleep all night. They refused to put us in another room or address the situation. In the morning we were insulted by the so called maintenance man who accused us of being the problem. The electrical items were poor and the kettle had to be boiled on the floor. NEVER AGAIN !!

If you want a clean friendly hotel which is excellent value for money, stay here. The FREE continental breakfast is fabulous. Brand name indivdual cereals, fruit juice, toast, fresh grapefruit, tea and coffee, served by lovely staff with a smile! £2 supplement for a full english! I don't normally write reviews but had to as we were so pleased with the almondsbury. At £25 where can you get this sort of value for money? Just to compare the pub next door charges around £60 .
