Just came back from a three night stay and really wish that we could have stayed for longer. Such a warm and friendly place which was made even better by all the new arrivals. Sarah couldn't do enough for you and the homemade cakes and cookies were to die for (thank you Laura). We stayed in the double room which was huge with a fantastic view. The breakfast was lovely with plenty to choose from and the scrambled eggs were the best we've ever tasted. Would definitely recommend this farm to anyone, missing it already. Thank you Sarah and family for a great stay we will certainly be back.

The farm itself is in a lovely setting and i believe the rooms in the main house are lovely but we stayed in the converted barn and I wouldn't recommend it. It's very old fashioned with apricot decor, old carpet and a tiny window . Consequently it's dark inside with no view. If they painted it a fresh white and knocked a hole in the side wall so you could see the view it could be lovely. The lady was very nice but the husband ignored us outside.

Thank you for your review. I am sorry you thought the room old fashioned and dark. I wanted to let you know that due to listed building and national park constraints I wasn't allowed to put a hole in the side of the building as much as I wanted too.

We stayed the weekend at Easterside Farm as it was a perfect base for visiting family.
The owner Sarah couldnt have been been more helpful or friendly, she also cooks a mean cooked breakfast, so much so that we brought the sausages and bacon from Thomas the Butchers in Hemsley .

The room was clean ,and we had homemade cake on arrival , great views and looking for ward to going back again next year

Stayed 4th August for one night. Fab views over the hills in fantastic countryside. A very warm welcome. Great Room Clean and well decorated. We had the family room as the B&B was busy that weekend. So the room was large. Excellent cooked breakfast. Will defiantly be back again.

We stayed the weekend of 21st July at easterside farm as it was central to lots of attractions and places within the North Yorkshire area. Was a perfect base for the weekend and couldnt have wished for more helpful and friendly owners. The breakfasts are a real highlight and the property itself is in a really lovely position and provides wonderful views of the area as well as being a charming, working farm.Very welcoming and homely, will definitely be returning. Went to the Inn at handy for a meal, was lovely and well worth the mile walk to the village with some steep hill climbs! Thoroughly enjoyable stay, will be recommending to family and friends alike. Keep up the good work Sarah and the rest of the Woods family.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week's stay at Easterside Farm. Sarah, the owner, and Suki, the black labrador, gave us a great warm welcome. Our room at the top of the house was cosy, really comfortable, spacious, and very clean. An easy chair positioned in front of a window looking out over the hills and grazing sheep became my favourite reading spot of the week. A tea tray and a delicious home-made cake or biscuit every day made this an even greater pleasure. Due to the age and lay-out of the house, none of the rooms have TV or showers - bathrooms have a bath only. There is a lounge where guests can watch TV.
Although close to Hawnby, Easterside is quite isolated, standing on a hill top with fantastic views all around. The village of Hawnby is about a mile away, but it's a walk that has some steep up and downs. Guests would need a car to stay for any length of time.
Sarah can provide an evening meal if it's requested in advance. Breakfasts were really good - full fry up (delicious mushrooms cooked in the aga) - or variations of it - toast and cereal, fruit and juice, and chats with Sarah covering all topics under the sun. At all times Sarah was very helpful, answering questions about the local area, making a restaurant reservation for us etc.
We will definitely be back.
