“Lovely place to eat”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 8, 2013 via mobile

Me and my partner had dinner here one evening earlier this year. The inn is cosy and the staff were welcoming. The food was exceptional, cooked to perfection and presented beautifully. If you are looking for a sophisticated evening out then this is the place to go.

Have just had the most enjoyable two night stay. Our room was very nice, very clean with amazing views over the countryside.
We were made very welcome and the whole place had a lovely atmosphere.
We had an evening meal both nights and the food was excellent, all homemade and was as good as any top restaurant. An inspired choice of vegetarian options that was the best we have had. Breakfast was just as good, top marks to the chef.
We would certainly stay again and would not hesitate in recommending The Plough.

Have just spent 3 nights at this hostelry, this was our 2nd stay here and both times we have had a very pleasant stay, the food is excellent despite two big party nights the food was served promptly and piping hot . The staff are all friendly and helpful. Rooms clean and comfortable, there is some road noise,
There is a bus stop just outside which means you can leave the car behind for a trip into Norwich or up to the coast.

Stayed here for a couple if nights as working close by. Hospitality and attention to guests has been great throughout. Food is excellent at all times fresh and piping hot. I stayed in room 3 which was very spacious and comfortable, a rarity was that I got wifi successful enough for my business needs, so very happy. I'd thoroughly recommend this hotel to business and leisure customers.

We was looking for a stop over for two nights with a evening food option available, due to health issues we were looking for a place that we would have comfortable room and staff that would accommodate my health issues.

The Plough Inn did not fail to deliver, the staff was helpful from the start nothing was too much trouble. The owners are hands on and this is reflective in the experience you receive from The Plough Inn. The room was comfortable well furnished with a hint of colour, en suite was generous and was clean. We both slept well.

The only way to describe the food was excellent, all fresh tasty food, especially the chef’s homemade chutney which was to die for. I was feeling a bit apprehensive due to my health issues the first night we dined but again the careful handling of my requests by the staff meant that I had an enjoyable meal and felt good about it.

The owners have got the combination right – right location, right accommodation, right food and most importantly right staff.

Room Tip: Room 12 back of building away from the main road

We booked a long weekend in August for my partners birthday. The room was clean and very pleasant but unfortunately far too hot. We could open the windows but unfortunately the noise of the traffic kept you awake. A fan would have been very useful. The food was good, steak only ordinary. I felt the food prices were expensive and not very competitive. Would stay there again but not during a warm spell. Rooms were lovely but food overpriced.

Room Tip: don't book a room at the front as very hot and traffic noisy

I have been a customer of this establishment many, many times over the past six years, and in that time I have come to expect an invariably pleasant culinary experience.

The choice of dishes changes weekly and there is always something to suit most tastes. The food itself is always cooked with care and is far from run of the mill, the chef being as good as any (probably the best) in the area.

Furthermore, It is quite noticeable that it is not just myself that returns again and again to eat here. Yes, there are other establishments to choose from, but, it seems I am not the only one that keeps coming back to this one.
