I stayed for 3 nights in a family room when visiting Yorkshire recently.
The hotel was reasonably priced, booked through an online company and a good deal for 3 nights B&B for 2 adults/2 children.
The room was clean and very spacious. Very warm too, but soon sorted when we dealt with the radiators, which had been left full on! Well equipped, but wi-fi very unreliable in the room.
Adjoining rooms in the family suite and bathroom.
Breakfast was great, very tasty, nice choice, but slightly limited times especially at the weekend.
The big down side for me was the road noise. We were in a room at the front, in the annexe on the ground floor and I think we felt and heard every vehicle that passed by on the A64 outside! Very noisy. Walls are thin too, so the noise from other occupants is hard to ignore too!
All in all a good value stay and if you are able to request a room away from the road then I recommend it!
Restaurant food ok but very hefty prices. We dined in Scarborough the second night for much better value.

Room Tip: Request a room away from the road if you can!! Definitely bring ear plugs.

I normally have the honour of writing good reviews as I've normally selected places which have been recommeded by others. Bit alas, on this occassion, I chose a laterooms deal as it was just about the only place with rooms left.
Booked a superior room and paid £65, superior means big, it doesn't mean better. Worn, old, slightly tatty and whilst some may think that's a description of me, that's the room. On the positive side, breakfast was OK, served in the conservatory, it was prompt, hot and acceptable quality and the location is good for car drivers and stay over.
Our room looked onto the main road so we couldn't open a window without much noise!

The public rooms and the bedrooms are of a good standard, the staff are friendly and efficient, the food was well cooked and presented,, overall we thought it was very good until it got to bed time, when we became aware of the traffic on the main road outside our bedroom window, we had little sleep unfortunately.

Stayed 1 night whilst walking the Wolds way. Booked a superior room which was not superior at all. There was a hole in the ceiling in the en-suite which had obviously been there a while as the floor lino was ruined with water damage. When the upstairs room had a shower the water came through the ceiling flooding our en-suite. Needed a good nights sleep but due to the heatwave had to open the windows so got all the noisy traffic The quilt on the bed was very heavy and must have been the highest tog value you could have. We were charged an extra £10 for having the dog in the room, but the dog wasn't allowed anywhere else other than outside, which also had restrictions. Thankfully the weather was hot so we had our evening meal outside with our very kind friends who joined us.Think they may have to review the name of the establishment. The food and breakfast was lovely. Will not return.

Room Tip: Stayed with friends so booked 3 different rooms in different parts of the establishment. All had noi...

We wanted a break near the coast, but didn't want to stay at a seaside resort. The Greyhound is about 9 miles from Scarborough and Filey and about 16 miles from Bridlington. We booked through an online booking agency, but the garden view rooms we had selected weren't, as far as the hotel were concerned, an option so we had to take rooms at the front instead. It was glorious weather and the first night we slept with the windows open - big mistake! They overlooked the busy A64 with traffic noise from early morning. (The manager has told us they will be installing double glazing.)
The location was great for trips to the seaside, which we did during the days. We stayed for three nights.
Breakfast was lovely - freshly cooked and brought to the table - no queuing up and/ service -and the conservatory breakfast room overlooked the garden.
We enjoyed sitting in the lovely gardens with a drink and a book, that was really relaxing.
The room was pleasant, en suite was a little tired, but it functioned. Tea and coffee tray, kettle hair-dryer etc. and lots of storage space.
The evening menu looked good but we ate out, so can't comment on the quality of it.
All in all we would happily return.

Room Tip: Rooms on the front have traffic noise.

Stayed two nights room was clean and breakfast good but there is a lot of traffic noise. The break was ruined by a golf party on the second night of our stay. At 1.20am. 1.30am and again at 5.00am someone tried to get into our room. There was also a lot of door banging and loud voices at these times.
When we mentioned this problem to a member of staff on leaving he apologised and said that they usually try to book golf parties into a seperate annex but had not been aware that this group were golfers.

stayed here for one night. The price was good so we thought we would give it a try. Very spacious room with king size bed and en suite bathroom. tea/ coffee facilites. We had a room at the front and didnt really notice the road noise until the middle of the night.... we were woken at 4am by the noisy traffic thundering passed at 60mph... it was impossible to sleep after that.

Bar is not up to much but the lounge bar is better. Food is good but a little on the pricey side for what it is. all in all a good stay but wont be staying again due to the noisy rooms..
