Although the photograph on the main trip Advisor page does not look like it, the MacLeod Restaurant is spacious with a lovely view over the Hall, Lake and wooded grounds. And further into the Dales. when it is cooler, (today) there is a lovely open fire in the middle of the room, adding that lovely wood smoke aroma, The menu is varied with a local food bias and all dishes executed with skill and care, delivered to your table by cheerful, knowledgeable staff, wide range od drinks too. The food is surprisingly filling with an emphasis on quality rather than quantity, always leave the audience wanting more etc.
