My husband and I stayed here as a friend was getting married close by and it was the only accommodation available. The room itself was comfortable and very clean, if not a bit dated but this was well made up for by the delicious cooked breakfast that we had the next morning as part of the B&B package - they served excellent quality food made to order, fantastic! There was also ample car parking space and staff were helpful and friendly. A pleasant and enjoyable stay that represented good value for money.

Comfortable accommodation. Reasonably sized room. Pet friendly.

Room Tip: All rooms are ground floor so suit less mobile

We stayed there twice and nothing was too much trouble. The accommodation is comfortable, spotless and quiet, the breakfast first-class and the owners pay great attention to detail. We were allowed to leave our car there all week while doing the Cleveland Way. There's a pub next door that serves so-so meals but has a nice atmosphere and Black Sheep ale, and a fish-and-chip shop across the way, although it would be a courtesy not to take these back to the room!

I have stayed here three times now. The rooms are large, comfortable and clean. The breakfasts are excellent. The proprietors Chris and Sheila Birkinshaw make you feel like family. Located in a small, quiet Yorkshire village adjacent to a very good pub. No noise from the pub even when they were watching the world cup. The village of Huby is only about 5 miles from York and is a great base for exploring North Yorkshire. No Air conditioning, but room stayed cool with cross-ventilation even on a hot July day. Good value.

The accommodation is clean and comfortable in a nice quiet village location but is very handy for going into York as it is not far from the ‘park and ride’. There was a good breakfast and the owners are very friendly. The only little niggle was that the shower was not very powerful but everything else more than made up for it. It was of a higher standard than a lot of hotels and certainly much quieter and we would gladly stay there again.
