From meet and greet to coffee and cheerio, we felt welcome and cared for by the owners and their lovely staff. A very good menu which included excellent roast favourites plus fish/vegetarian options with the Plough special slant on the dishes. Talented chef here. Great service. Lovely touch that our 103 yr old in our party was given such special attention. It really made her day - and ours.

Went here as group of 4 for evening meal. I liked the place as there were several places to sit and enjoy a pre dinner drink. The staff were generally friendly although the landlord seemed distracted - who knows -there may have been something happening that we knew nothing about. Anyway, the meal was good, we all had soup to start and it was delicious. We all enjoyed our main course although my partner who had the vegetarian Wellington pointed out that it had Cashew nuts as one of the main ingredients instead of Macadamia nuts as stated on the menu. The food is certainly of a very high standard but I did think it was a little pretentious. That doesn't detract from the experience it just seemed a little odd or out of place.

Although we haven't yet stayed here overnight, if the standard of the amazingly well thought out cooked to perfection food, attentive yet not overly so, staff are anything up go by...we will sleep like royalty.

I had the lamb, truly the best meal I've ever had! My partner (usually the fussiest eater) chose pidgeon to start...fab!..then the freshest almost sweet, seabass for main...by time dessert came ...we were blown away.. Perfect pricing , totally came away thinking one word.....wow!

Owners and staff....well done!

Can't wait to come back... Dee and Paul x

Absolutely delicious food at a reasonable price. The quality was first class as was the service. Definitely recommend to all, but remember to book early, we had to book the evening before, when we were eating they were turning people away as they were at full capacity :)

Had lunch here with my elderly father and arrived as the doors opened at noon. We have eaten here many times over the last 40 years (!) but can honestly say that the standard of food and décor at The Plough currently is by far the best we have had with any previous owners. We were seated in a warm and welcoming dining room where we chose from the special lunch menu which was offered at an excellent price. The choice of food and quality were first class and the service was excellent. Despite being quite full after a starter and main we could not resist a dessert which was absolutely delicious. It was quiet on our visit (Wigglesworth is a couple of miles from a busy main road but only four miles from Settle), and I couldn't help but think that if motorists knew what a super place The Plough would they would happily turn off and pay it a visit. Highly recommended.
