I had visited as a child before, some of those displays are still there! A lot has changed though and I had a great time walking around and reading all about our Royal Naval history & Heritage.

Easy to get to and will be even better when they get around to dualling the A303 as promised today, 1December 2014. The FAA Museum has been around for a very long time and has a fantastic historic record of the FAA victories for the last many decades including the huge involvement in the Falklands Islands recovery from the Argentinians including some captured aircraft and the story of the conflict with input from some of the serviceman who were actually involved. The jewel in show is though the Concorde it's very few opportunities that visitors can have anywhere worldwide to walk through such a fantastic aircraft and get a real feel for what it must have been like for some very lucky and very well healed passengers when the aircraft was in service. Children are very well catered for and there are often special events that give them some fun making things or searching for Easter Eggs etc dependant on the time of year! Highly recommended visit for families, very good value especially if you are able to take advantage of the free returns for 12 months from the first visit if you agree to the gift aid tax system.

Took my husband for a birthday treat. He wasn't disappointed. He enjoyed every minute. Allow a full day if you go. Museum was very informative. Make time to go on the carrier tour. It takes about 40 mins but takes you through a complete tour of an aircraft carrier and was brilliant. Cost is £14 per adult but most hotels have discount vouchers. When we visited it was also sci-fi weekend which was an added bonus. The restaurant was reasonably priced but if you take a packed lunch leave in car as no food or drink in museum. You can go to your car at anytime then return to the museum after lunch.

Firstly do not be put off with the entry price, it is well worth every single penny.... Secondly visit during the week as the RNAS is extremely busy and there are two viewing areas of the airfield . Thirdly get there in the morning, I spent 5 hours there and a few more hours would have been good....

There are lots of hands on activities and interactive displays, the aeroplane are immaculately displayed and most look like they could fly again as some do drip oil! The food is also good and not expensive so no need for a soggy sandwich!

It kicks the stuffing out of the RAF museum at cosford! I cannot wait to go back!!

What a brilliant museum this is I can honestly say it is worth every penny of the entry fee. There is so much to see and do, really informative without the bore factor like some museums. We have been twice now and the second time we used the free entry ticket from our first visit ( if you return within a year of first purchase through gift aid). It is imaginative and interactive. We are a couple in our fifties and I am not really "into planes" but I really enjoyed everything about this place. If you can and are staying in the area make a good half day or all day to visit this place. If you don't you are missing out.
