The Langtry is a beautiful house run by an owner who is passionate & obviously enjoys what she does. The accommodation is spotlessly clean. It gleams! The beds are big & comfy, the towels; the thickest possible, the decor tasteful and the food too tempting.
Definitely at the top of the B&B market. You will not be disappointed.

Well we're just back from Langtry, the first of what we hope to be many stays. The room was spotless and the bathroom had many additional small touches that we're very well received. Home made biscuits with the room tea and coffee.
We awoke to some unusual sounds, a peacock and what we later found out to be a Lar Gibbon from the neighbouring Tropiquarium, it wasn't instrusive but intriguing and a very relaxing start to the day.
Breakfast was amazing, recommend the home made muslie and my partner had the scrambled eggs and smoked salmon, when it was served we all wished we'd chosen that! Home made bread and muffins, which we could take away for the day was a special touch.
Definately going back, mainly to have the scrambled eggs!

Room Tip: Ask for the Burgandy Room to hear more of the local 'wildlife'

We stayed at Langtry House in June 2013 and couldn't have chosen a better place. The location, rooms, and welcome were fabulous. The house and rooms did the owner proud, you could see all the thought that had gone into creating this beautiful place. The room we had was a good size, very peaceful and had a really comfortable king size bed looking over the pond and surrounding countryside. All the little touches made it even more special. The food was excellent and plentiful and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you so much Sue and Penny for making our stay so enjoyable. We would have no hesitation in recommending Langtry House to anybody wishing to visit this beautiful area.

From the friendly welcome when we arrived staying here was a great experience.

Tea and cake in the relaxing lounge were scrummy!

Our room was scrupulously clean and very well appointed with many little touches showing a lot of thought and attention. The fridge on the landing stocked with goodies was a great boon!

The breakfast was first class with a good choice, home or local produce, well cooked and presented with muffins to go!

I relaxed in the garden and only wished that we had booked dinner as well, I sure it would also have been delicious.

Well done to the owners you are running a first class small hotel, better than some 4* ones I have stayed at.

We left with a pot of homemade jam, also yummy, and vowed to come back again.,

We have stayed here before but have not visited for over a year. It was even better than I remembered! Langtry House is so elegant, and Sue's attention to detail enhances the experience. As always a warm and friendly greeting, not to mention tea and cake. As to the food what can I say, perfect, scrumptious, wonderful, both dinner and breakfast. We left there a couple of pounds heavier!
We were put in the newly finished "Burgundy Room" A very comfortable bed, spacious bathroom with a splendid shower and very nice toiletries.
This hotel can and does compete with the best small hotels in the world. Well done Sue!

Room Tip: I think I have stayed in just about every room and they are all nice
