Just arrived - hotel corridors and room freezing! Only blow heating in room and hotel cannot it make it any warmer. Will not be happy if it does not get any warmer. Room is supposed to be superior, 134, but is small so do not know what the standard room would be like.image on Internet shows two rooms standard and what we assumed was superior but it seems this is a suite so we were a bit sidelined by this, although it does not actually say what the pictures are. Location is quiet and near to all local amenities. Just hope it gets warmer soon!

booked for 1 night prior to going to birmingham, staff ok, not overly friendly or helpful apart from two in the grill bar who were great,
nice room and facilities, full english breakfast, for those hungry great, plenty on the plate, too much for me, but very relaxed atmosphere overall
overall very good value for money and would stay again

I stayed here for one night on business. Clean and efficient. The breakfast was typical large-hotel-buffet. In other words, good selection, efficiently presented, warm and filling. Taste? Well, what you'd expect from efficient catering? It's the homogeneous British Hotel Breakfast - there's no point in listing the buffet, you'll know what it consists of.
I didn't eat in the evening, because I'd noticed a "gastro-pub" a few yards down the road, and it seemed far more appealing. Good choice as it turned out and I'd recommend it: it's called the Bulls Head.
I'd say the Manor is good for those staying on business, but there's no character, no soul, nothing to make you want to go back. But efficient in all aspects, so nothing to disappoint.

Spent the night here and found it unexpectedly peaceful. The hotel was spotless and the staff extremely friendly. There were some nice little touches in the room and bathroom. The breakfast was delicious, despite being a hot/cold buffet. There was good wi/fi reception in the room. The large plasma screen TV was great although the screen was cut in half for me by a post from the four poster bed, but I'm not complaining! Despite the hotel being quite full, we were not disturbed by any noise: a lot of rooms are accommodated in wings separate from the central function rooms. The hotel is well situated and I would certainly stay again.

The Manor Hotel, Meriden is a well appointed hotel, with good parking, comfortable rooms and good food.....but why did the staff make me feel such a nuisance? I had the impression the front line staff were overworked....they had too much to do and not enough time to interact with guests. The duty manager at breakfast was appalling standing overlooking the service with his hands in his pockets, when clearly staff were struggling coping. Clearly a management fault...pity as it's has the potentail to be a really good hotel.

Essentially, the room, for four nights during an exhibition at NEC, was clean, well equipped and very comfortable. The staff were friendly and very helpful, particularly duty manager/senior bar Lexy. Food in the bistro diner off a short menu was served promptly if a little limited.

A big downside during my stay was the hotel's inability to keep their car park navigable during the heavy snow. When I arrived, snow hadn't fallen for twelve hours, but seemingly no attempt had been made to clear it. Car park on slight hill with snow and ice=very dangerous. Public car park 200 yards away had been totally cleared. Four nights with car parked on the road, staying in a 4* hotel is really not acceptable.

Room Tip: No leisure centre in this hotel. Some of the rooms are a good hike away from reception

This was our third Best Western experience. This hotel was not as exciting architecturally as Hastings or Nottingham, but the experience was characteristically BW - warm and comfortable. All staff were friendly with one exceptionally helpful waitress at dinner, and our room was spacious, warm and well-equipped. We ate dinner in the restaurant and although we had been disappointed to learn of only one vegetarian main option, we went for it and were very pleasantly surprised by the cuisine. Breakfast was excellent, fullsome but under-stated. Our continual refrain concerns the musak. We arrived to Motown greatest hits and with a period of piano music in between, left to same. Who is this music for? No-one seems to be grooving to it so is it really needed? Is it to keep staff morale up? Other than that, we, and our dog, had a cosy and fine stay.

Room Tip: Please complain about the musak. We can start a campaign
