We arrived at 9pm, a friendly lady showed us to our room straight away, our room was up two flights of steep stairs, but we are young and able bodied so this was fine. The room was clean, well presented, small selection of tea/coffee. We went down to breakfast in the morning, which is the resturant area of the bar, there was one other couple wating breakfast, young waitress was waiting in the dining area she instructed us that we may sit in "the table in the corner or the table under the black board" we sat in the table in the corner, waitress followed and rudely remarked "not that table, that table is reserved as u can tell by the reserved sign". I had assumed that Bed and Breakfast tables would be reserved and this was "the table in the corner". It appears she meant the table next to the table in the corner. For the duration of breakfast nobody sat at the reserved table that she had been so protective of. Breakfast was nice, lovely, local sausages. Sunday breakfast experience was better this time breakfast was busy and we were left to find our own seat as there was no staff initially, but we sat at a table (no reserved sign of couse!) helped ourself to a drink and by this time different waitress than Saturday had appeared, very good service from this lady, very attentive and friendly.

Cleaner had cleaned rooms whilst we had breakfast to a good standard and we slept well both nights.

We most probably will not return as we have stayed at a B&B nearby that was the same price and we had a bath room with bath, just as nice cooked breakfast and consistantly good customer service (but was fully booked this time).

We have just returned form the Seal Pub in Selsey West Sussex having stayed there on the 24th October. The rooms were modern well fitted, comfortable bed and an excellent bathroom. The staff particularly the young lady with dark hair serving dinner last night. She was on her own and it became very busy which she handled with a proffessional yet friendly approach. The breakfast hot and well served. I have no complaints and would recommend it strongly . It;s just a short stroll to Sea and close to all amenities

We were made to feel very welcome at The Seal. The room was exceptionally clean, with a comfortable bed and sparkling bathroom. We enjoyed an evening meal in the pub, with well prepared fresh fish and were made to feel that nothing was too much trouble. Our stay exceeded our expectations!

Stayed on the 17 October for one night so that my husband could revisit Selsey as he went to school there in the 60s. Unfortunately, his school Broombank had disappeared but we had a very pleasant stay at the Seal. The rooms were refurbished to a high standard and were absolutely spotless. Both the dinner and breakfast were excellent and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We would certainly stay there again.

The age old sore of breakfast like a king was never so true as in this lovely Pub/restaurant/B&B in Selsey. Having arrived in the evening and going out for an event (a book launch - like some others on here) we didn't get to sample their evening meals but I am assured they are equally as good as the breakfast. With great service and at £80 for a double room and breakfast for two its pretty outstanding value and probably one of the best hotel breakfasts I've had in many a day.

Strongly recommend the Seal.

Room Tip: We chose one of the rooms on the back - quiet and not overlooked and had an 'en suite' to boot.
