“Everything you need, clean and comfortable.”
Reviewed June 24, 2015 for a stay in June 2015

A friend and I stayed at Rosebud Cottage for a week while we were walking in the South Downs. The cottage has a very well equipped kitchen, a nice bathroom, comfortable lounge with plenty of books on walks in the area. The bedrooms were also comfortable, but note the stairs are steep with a turn at the bottom. The small garden to the rear of the cottage is a pleasant area to sit in the sun, however it isn't private as other cottages have to bring their dustbins through it on collection day. The cottage is on a side street at the bottom of Steyning High Street so you are a few minutes walk from all the shops, restaurants and pubs. The property doesn't have its own parking, there are parking areas near the cottage which are shared by all the cottages on a first come basis. Having said that we managed to parking places near the cottage all week. I would definitely stay here again.
P.S. A nice touch was that there was milk in the fridge and a sponge cake on the table when we arrived.

So pleased to hear you would definitely stay at Rosebud Cottage again. Part of the charm of these mid nineteenth century cottages is the rather quaint right of way through back gardens – fortunately the neighbours, who may use this right of way, are very discreet & considerate. Another typical feature of these early Victorian cottages is steep stairs, so as a precaution, I have put in a handrail to make them safer. Regarding parking, guests are always informed they can leave their car day & night at the local pub car park where there is always space available. This is just across the road, one minute from the cottage.

“Beautiful Cottage, Perfect Week”
Reviewed March 21, 2015 for a stay in March 2015

Just returned from a weeks stay at Rosebud Cottage, beautifully presented with everything I could possibly have needed provided. Even the weather was dry and sunny. Steyning is a lovely location, with the South Downs right on the doorstep and lots of good cafes and restaurants.

Made good use of my week visiting Chichester, Brighton and lots of good walking and to return to such a comfortable cottage was great - it just doesn't get any better.

Would not hesitate to return - was loathed to leave.

“Beautiful welcoming cottage, ideally located , everything you could wish for.”
Reviewed March 4, 2015 for a stay in February 2015

Stayed for one week in February, a really beautiful cottage with a calming atmosphere. Spotlessly clean, beds made up for arrival and everything you could possibly need for your stay supplied. On arrival there was a tea/coffee tray waiting, milk in fridge and a most delicious cake, what a wonderful gesture and very much appreciated. Great communication from Jenny, the owner, very helpful and friendly. Ideally located , near to shops etc. Would highly recommend this lovely cottage.

“Perfect cottage! Perfect cottage! Perfect cottage!”
Reviewed February 24, 2015 for a stay in February 2015

Communication before the arrival was outstanding, prompt reply to all emails and additional helpful information supplied about the area.
On arrival, lovely cake waiting for us, towels, beds made, and hand soap and all the bits like washing up liquid, as well as milk, tea and coffee for that first cuppa!
So clean and tidy with everything you would need for a week, warm, cosy with excellent wifi, DAB radio and dvd player with a good choice to keep you amused on a rainy day!

coat hangers, hair dryer, tea towels, and even washing tabs to do the odd load of washing... everything really was thought about.
Great area, with a lovely little bakery on the corner and town just a few minutes walk away, with everything you need.
Lovely area, walks, pubs, coffee shops.
Thanks Jenny, I have already booked for a week before the end of the year!

“Dainty little cottage”
Reviewed November 27, 2014 for a stay in November 2014

Stayed in Rosebud for ten days, it was such a warm, clean and cosy place with a well equipped kitchen. The double bed was very comfortable and the nights were silent.
Steyning is a lovely place with a lot of nice little shops, even a traditional Dolls House shop, and many cafés. Jenny was very helpful with information on using public transportation in the area and interesting walks. We had a very nice time and were sad to leave.

“Charming - Ticked all the boxes!!”
Reviewed September 27, 2014 for a stay in August 2014

Well what can I say - this was an experience that we'll never forget - it was our first stop from Australia. The cottage had everything we needed for our 5 night stay. Comfortable bedrooms and fully equipped kitchen. Very well located - especially Brighton and Hove.
Steyning is a lovely village - with a lot of eating places, especially one place called "Spring Wells" BB in the main street which served a wonderful breakfast for under 10 pounds for people who walked in off the street. Thank you Jenny for the yummy cake you left for us! Lovey touch. Would definitely recommend this Cottage.
