The staff here are very attentive and friendly and the decor and setting is lovely. The meal was beautifully presented but to be honest it all was a little bland and really not the best indian we have ever had. We have visited at least 3 times now and found this to be the same each time. It is a shame as we would really like this to be our local indian. Hope they can raise the bar on the food so that it matches the excellent setting & service.
(we now find the indian in Storrington whilst not such a nice setting the food is so much better, and the Shati in Shoreham does the most heavenly takeaways)

We went for the Thursday special which consisted of starter, main, side dish and coffee for £12.95 p.p.. We were the first customers at 6:30pm, welcomed by half a dozen waiters standing, they were attentive, ensuring we had everything we need, - albeit mechanical rather than friendly. The room decor is crisp and clean in monotone colours, table cloths & napkins were all freshly pressed.

It is a pity that the restaurant is in good location and well presented, however, the food was just so terrible.. We started with poppadoms, lamb and chicken, tandoori and biryani dishes, mushroom rice and sauteed okra and ALL the dishes we ordered had the same problems all the way through, ..... i.e. dried up, over cooked, greasy, bland, and boring. and why the huge slice of RAW zigzag onion sitting on top of a greasy mess of tomatoes....??? Lastly, the coffee was OK. cold beer was nice, but it was the worst food we have had in a very long time..........

Just returned from a family buffet lunch at Steyning Tandoori. Excellent food. Excellent service. Lovely village to stroll around afterwards.
£9.95 for adults & £5.95 for a child.
The manager was very attentive, ensuring that the food dishes were kept full.
Lovely clean table cloth & napkins.
My only constructive comment would be that the toilets need renovating, especially the ladies that has suffered from water damage.
We will return!
