Excellent b&b. Owners very attentive and lots of special little touches - nice piece of cake on hospitality tray each day. Room lovely nicely decorated. Superb breakfast freshly cooked each day. Thoroughly recommend. Close to Mallyan Spout hotel/restaurant - good food.

Stopped here as a final night in Yorkshire for my girlfriends birthday. Location is lovely, room was spotless and very comfortable, owners very friendly and helpful (even gave my girlfriend a birthday card) and the breakfast was brilliant with wide variety.
Mallayn spout hotel is lovely for an evening meal and only a couple of minutes walk. Centre of village is only 10 minute walk for heartbeat sightseeing and North Yorkshire moor railway.
Overall a fantastic place to stay and value for money!

Stayed at this wonderful B & B at the beginning of March 2013. I had read the reviews prior to booking so was expecting great things and have to say that I was not disappointed! The house was immaculately clean and wonderfully comfortable. Rooms, bed, breakfast, location and hosts all wonderful. There were a number of circular walks of varying distances starting in the village and Whitby, Robin Hoods Bay and a number of very picturesque little villages were all within a short drive. The village itself is surrounded by open moorland and has sheep wondering freely around, it has a number of local shops and a tea room as well as a number of options for evening meals, we ate at the Mallyan Hotel opposite the church and very close to the B & B
where we enjoyed a wonderful welcome and meal. If your looking for a relaxing break where you can be assured of comfort and quality this is the place for you.

My wife & I only stayed one night but we felt like old friends. A cup of tea on arrival and a genuine welcome from Janet & Richard. The standard of the room and attention to detail was brilliant. The hosts were attentive but not intrusive: a perfect balance. They even lent us a torch to go to the pub on a dark starry evening. A perfect location for walks, the 'Heartbeat' experience, or just chilling out. Can't praise this accommodation too much.

Brilliant location, views, room and hosts. Loved it. The accommodation was very well presented and the attention to detail was amazing. We stayed for the weekend and took our young son, within minutes of arrival he fell in the gravel outside and Janet came to our rescue and offered first aid which was brilliant of her, she even gave him a biscuit to cheer him up. The room was gorgeous and the breakfast was brilliant, loads of choice and quality products. We have already recommend you to others. Thanks a lot.

Room Tip: We had the Gooseberry room on the ground floor, it was gorgeous.

Sorry for writing this almost 2 years late. This place is just awesome. We had our one and half year old daughter with us and the arrangement they made for us was extraordinary. This ace scores on all counts. Peaceful, clean, spacious and most importantly very warm hosts. Would love to go back.
