What a beautiful place to stay for the weekend. My partner and I had a wonderful time here and the family were very friendly and made us feel really welcome. The breakfast each morning was delicious and the staff were nice too.
We used the BBQ Hut on the Saturday evening and we stayed in the Hut for hours listening to music and just chilling around the fire. The views are stunning around this area and we saw lots of wildlife. I would highly recommend this place to family and friends and we will definitely be booking again soon.

“First customers - The best place to stay for a proper countryside getaway!”

An absolutely Brilliant stay! When we arrived Scott showed us to the deer lodge and he was very welcoming and cheerful. Even before we arrived, whilst planning the stay, Scott was very quick with email responses and extremely informative and helpful. The deer lodge was so beautiful and tucked away in the trees and the surrounding wildlife. It reminded me of something from a story book! Inside was very cosy and extremely clean and had such lovely little touches! There where reading books placed around the lodge and we even had a bottle of wine in the fridge! The welcome pack was very informative of all the things you can do in the surrounding towns and I was surprised how much there is to see, (which is why we are going back in July!). We had breakfast included for both days of the stay, which was a wonderful surprise. Breakfast was at the Tea room which is a 2 minute walk down the path and you can really take in the countryside whilst making your way there. There are 2 Shetland pony’s and a lot of sheep! At the tea room served an amazing breakfast selection and the full English was lovely. As the tea room and the lodge is a family run business we also met Scott’s grandparents who live in the house close by to the deer lodge. They where very friendly and explained that a few more lodges will be built and they are also advertising their home to stay in whilst they are away. They showed us around their home which was stunning and you could look out onto the fields around through the floor to ceiling windows. And if you are lucky enough you may even see the deer! Scott and his dad where also very accommodating and whenever we saw them they where always very cheerful and made sure we had everything that we needed. I have never felt more welcome than I did staying here. We have already booked another stay and it can’t come soon enough! Hopefully the weather will be a little bit better next time so we can use the BBQ lodge next door! Definitely the best place to stay for a proper English countryside getaway, if only I could live there! Not long to go, I’m counting down the days!
