“Fab weekend”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 24, 2013

Just returned after spending two perfect nights stay at the Gamekeeper's Inn. We came for the 1940s weekend in Grassington but chose to stay at long Ashes having stayed in a friends caravan a few times during the summer. Lovely room and superb food and service. We have stayed all over the world in five star hotels and would recommend a stay here to anyone. Many thanks to all the staff and we will be back!!

Room Tip: The room at the front was extremely quiet perfect!

I have had the pleasure of staying at the Gamekeepers Inn with my wife, daughter and her husband. The rooms were clean, the beds were very comfortable. The meals served where more than adequate and great quality. It was a total pleasure to us when speaking with the host and his staff. On our next visit to Yorkshire and this Moors destination, it will be here again. Quite different to our accommodation in Australia. They obviously cater well for all types of visitor from locals to overseas types. We would happily recommend it to friends that will be visiting next year.

First time at the lodge for my husband and I. We took advantage of the mid week deal, £80 for 2 adults, to include breakfast and evening meal. This deal included full use of the pool, sauna etc. The full menu was on offer and the food is excellent. The rooms are lovely, very clean and fully equipped. The place was very relaxed and we will not hesitate to come back, even for just a meal.

Room Tip: We stayed in the first room which is the 'Linton'. This room overlooked the car park and if...

We will return in the future and will highly recommend to anyone who will listen to us, The Gamekeepers Inn is the place to go.

Had a wonderful sunday lunch here with my wife and daughter, the menu is huge and a separate specials menu too! No one could fail to choose something off these. Two of us had the superb steak in ale pie with proper chunky chips, a pork roast with a massive Yorkshire pudding and veg came a close second. The food took a while to arrive but was well worth the wait, the pub is located in a very nice and peaceful holiday /residential park and is well worth a visit, the beer was top notch also.

We visited at Easter and was so impressed with the food we returned to try the full experience. Fantastic room, big comfy bed, tasteful décor, clean, and nice little touches like the jar of home made biscuits on the tea tray. (not that I got a look in). The spa next door is free to use for hotel residents and is well worth a visit. Evening meal was again faultless as was breakfast. All the staff were extremely friendly and genuine with it. Special thanks to Damian and the breakfast chef who found us a local garage open on a Bank Holiday.

Hope you give some thought to the idea of setting up a kennel for guests to use for 4 legged members of the family.

Room Tip: We Stopped in room 1 and could not fault it
