The Sunday lunch roast was excellent great meat quality and very nice vegetables, service was quick and efficient, The sweets were good quality and were presented very nicely. Serving food all day as well compared with the pubs in Grassington, their los is the Old Halls gain.

Me and my partner decided to stay here after a search of inns at the dales. And after our 3 night stay we was both very glad that we choose the old hall inn.
Good value for money.
From the good hearty breakfast to the excellent evening menu.
Every meal that we had was presented and cooked perfectly.
Every member of staff was very friendly and helpfull.
Can't wait to return and stay in the new furnished bedrooms very soon.

Sometimes its not a good idea to write a review on the first visit because often you can be disappointed when you return. But not so with the Old Hall. We thought our first visit for dinner was good but our second was even better. It really is a lovely pub with great atmospher, friendly efficient staff and excellent food, presented in an original way. Only wish we lived nearer so we could go more often.

Had a lovely pub lunch here after a morning spent walking in nearby Grassington.

We called in expecting to be turned away as we had our dog with us, (or at least sit in the garden) however, we were pleasantly surprised when we were welcomed into the bar. Lovely old stone flagging on the floor, so didn't have to worry about wet paws!

The food was freshly cooked and nicely presented by friendly staff.
We will definitely return if in the area.

My husband, son and his wife, went for a meal after some very good reports, we are local people and like to support the pubs and hotels, but I am afraid we won't be returning, my starter of scallops, was not cooked, so sent back, the next ones were acceptable. My son and I for main course had prawn chow mein, it was the most tatesless food we have every had, and of course told them so, prawncrackers served with no dipping sauce, which we left, my husband and daughter-in-law had steak pudding which was OK, what a disappointment and a waste of money, afraid we won't be retunring

Being a local I have always been interested in the standard of our local pubs and restaurants. I had been advised that the Old Hall Inn had improved with the new ownership. Yes, that is true but it wasn't a particularly hard act to to improve upon. The decor is much better as is the quality of friendliness from the bar staff and the willingness to please. However, the food was probably the worst I've ever had to eat in he area- so greasy, so over done. As vegetarians we started with a mozzarella and tomato salad-what a joke...!In addition at a exorbitant price we ordered the bread basket with oil and balsamic. The Balsamic arrived as Soy Sauce!!! The chef was most apologetic: easy mistake for a professional to make! The main courses 'Baked Brie' sans the bacon but with chips and veg was absolutely pathetic. The veg tasted so artificial with the freezer to microwave taste (F2M). The other main course was stir fry with crispy noodles. I complained that the noodles were so crisp you could bang them on the table-inedible! They were so sorry- the chef apologized. Oh dear, it must be so hard being paid to be a professional cook and to have to cook professionally. We couldn't be bothered to have a dessert. It probably would have been overly microwaved or overly deep frozen. The waitresses were sweet- it wasn;t their fault ... they had to serve poor quality food. A waste of money. What can tourists think of Yorkshire if the Old Hall Inn advertises itself as the 'best food in the Dales'. Worst meal I've had locally in a long time.Shame on you: a total rip-off!
