Great rooms, dining area super, allowed us to use our own Ipod Docking Station in dining area for our party. Good service especially from bar staff. Made to feel very welcome, stunning location. Breakfast good too. Made to feel very welcome and left very relaxed.

Room Tip: Room 8 very quiet

The Devonshire Fell is situated just outside Burnsall village, which is a couple of minutes walk down the road. First impressions of the hotel is that someone with taste has put a lot of thought and effort into it. It is stylishly decorated and fitted out. Our room, number three, had a view of the river Wharfe out of the front window and the bridge over the river at Burnsall from the side window. We had a Queen sized, very comfortable bed and the room was spacious. Little treats are on a side table; cake, sweets, excellent coffee and popcorn.
The food is outstanding and substantial, the staff friendly and helpful. We are already planning to go back this summer. It is also dog friendly, which is good bacause there is excellent walking trails nearby.

Just back from a new year break, everything was good , fantastic room , great food and a good atmosphere. The staff were helpful and attentive . Definitely will return. The location is great , good views over the countryside lots of good walks in the area, and plenty to see and do in the vicinity.

Room Tip: Book early and get a river view room

Stayed last weekend as the best man in a wedding party. First of all, the views are spectacular. With little else around, the panorama of the Yorkshire countryside is beautiful. It's only a couple of minutes stroll downhill to the centre of the village, with a shop and pub close to hand.

The room we had was exceptional. I've rarely had as a comfortable a bed as here, and was loathe to leave it the following morning. There was both a firm and soft pillow, along with a massive cushion to prop you up should you want to read or watch telly. The hospitality tray was well stocked and full of treats. The bathroom was well sized, although lacking a decent shelf round the sink to place wash bags and with a shower lacking in power.

The service was very good, and with best man duties to fulfill the staff made sure that all the last minute things were handled smoothly. The wedding meal was enjoyed by all - loved the soup and pork (although the portion size for the latter was a tad stingy), but the chocolate tart was a touch tough round the edges and over rich. Breakfast the next morning was alright but was in desperate need of some beans in particular to add some moisture to the plate. Hash browns would have gone down well too. For once though this was a hotel with a decent toaster, six sliced and actually worked first time.

Even with new guests arriving the next day they were relaxed about checkout times, and when we first arrived they made sure our room was next to be cleaned even though we were around three hours before official check in. It was a fantastic occasion in a lovely hotel.

Have returned once again to our favourite place. The Fell.
A warm welcome from Stephane and although the staff change, there is always excellent service and a relaxed and warm style.
The rooms are immaculate, large and comfortable beds and each room has a bath to wallow in after a long walk.
The food is fabulous and the winter room deals, sometimes including dinner are great value. Very affordable luxury in my opinion.
A particular Thankyou for being dog friendly. The location is wonderful to be able to share and enjoy with man's best friend. We all look forward to our return.

My husband and I stayed for a weekend at the Devonshire Fell overnight to celebrate our annivarsary and it really couldn't have been more perfect.
It was beyond our expectations with the newly refurbished rooms, the fantastic goodies in the rooms and the beyond superb service and food. We had a truly relaxing time and will definitely be recommending the hotel & restaurant to friends (and will be back for another visit).
The little extras go a long way to leaving a great impression and having a better room and a little later check out just adds to the whole feeling of being more than just a paying customer. You feel cared about and valued and we loved it.

Room Tip: Brilliant walks in the area and the views are out of this world
