“Cool Wonder”
Reviewed March 29, 2013

The Bimmah Sink is in an obscure location on the Sur Expressway. It's easy to miss it, but this is what makes it so wonderful for a first time traveler like me. We were wonder struck by the beauty of the crystal clear water. As we climbed down rustic steep steps that took us down to the sink hole, the waters and the mystifying rock formations looked inviting for a dip. What was even more amazing was the quick pedicure that we got.The weather in February was just perfect for long dip in the cool blue waters. . A quick meditation in the serene and tranquil waters was really a "Wow" experience.
The authorities have maintained the natural beauty of the place and it's a must watch for nature lovers. But do remember to carry drinking water and some snacks along with you. There's nothing available for miles around the place.

“Geological wonder”
Reviewed March 17, 2013

This is a unique geological wonder. It is situated in a park with some landscaping, and it is not too far from the sea. On entering the park it is not immediately obvious that the sinkhole is there, and I don't recall seeing any signs to the park. There are no signs to the sinkhole once inside the park. Just keep walking straight ahead through the park and you will eventually get to the sinkhole.

It is definitely worth climbing down the steps to feel the full scale but as it is fully exposed to the sun it gets very hot, even in winter. It is possible to get some good views despite the concrete steps with the blue handrail.

There are toilets near the entrance. My friend and I spotted one 'western' toilet and the rest were squat toilets.

“Swim in this sinkhole - Oman”
Reviewed March 10, 2013

This sinkhole is very both fascinating and unique . It is located on the Qurayt – Sur Express way, a very quant place with a small park. You can catch a quick swim, not that to get to the hole you will need to climb down 50 40 steep steps. We actually camped the night opposite to this place that oversees a beautiful ocean.

“Interesting phenomenom and nice swim”
Reviewed February 24, 2013

The sink hole is a very interesting geological phenomenon (large hole spontaneously formed) and offers a nice opportunity for a quick swim en route. It is now a bit articially in small park with a concrete wall around it and a big ugly (but convenient) staircase into the hole. Make sure to turn left after the exit from the coastal highway, so NOT in the direction of Bimmah, otherwise you miss it.
