Considering its title has a resort in it, it just has the basic amenities in place to cater to your needs...don't expect too many options..they don't even have internet available in the rooms..but neat and clean rooms...comfy beds,,..calm,serene location..perfect escape from traffic and noise of city life..however you can expect some delay at the border

Do not expect entering a 5 star resort or a hotel in keeping with Dubai based hospitality standards. As Golden Tulips hotels this is one of the better products.
A perfectly good hotel with wonderful beds, clean rooms and a very modest presentation at all levels. If you have to be in the wilds of Oman this is the only option. There is no competition for this hotel as there is NO better option. We saw them all and I could not recommend any of them.
Make the most of Golden Tulip for all it has to offer but do lower your expectations.
Wonderful customer service at the front desk and the restaurant. Not much of a beach and what there is needs attention. The best part of this hotel was the perfectly stable bed.

We booked at the Golden Tulip so we could secure a border pass to access this wonderful area of Musandam.
We arrived at the hotel and despite there being 3 people at the reception desk, it took a few minutes until someone established eye contact with us and spoke to us.
The huge room is good, comfortable big bed, but a tiny shower room with no bath. We had a lovely view of the sea from our room but the double glazed windows had misted up in between the panes so our view was somewhat obscured.
We didn't have food at the hotel, from the last time we were there two years ago we remembered the breakfast was only just passable and as it was not included in our rate this time round we decided not to pay 5 OMR plus tax per person.
When we checked out we stood at the reception desk for 5 minutes before anyone bothered speaking to us, despite there being staff stood at the desk.
We would stay here again but only so we could avail a border pass. This hotel could be a real gem but lack of staff training spoils it.

The issues at the border now ensure this establishment has a lot more customers than it used to. I booked a deluxe room. Off we went with the bell boy apace to the far end of the hotel, only to find this had been changed to the opposite end. This required a circuitous route that certainly could not have been located using the appalling lack of hotel signage. Anyway, it was outside and in through another door. In other words, in the sticks. It was so far I needed to move the car. Room service? Maybe, but there was no telephone list so I tried 0,1,2,3,4,5 and so one. I would have had quite a job. It was 741. I went to reception though getting there was somewhat hit and miss. No signage again. Medium rare appears to mean well....done. Very done. Breakfast was poor. Poached eggs tasting strongly of vinegar and beef sausages lukewarm to cold and they certainly had not seen any fry pan or grill. Forget using the pool. This is monopolized by certain guests children and their fathers whose consideration for those wanting a quiet swim is certainly not uppermost in their thoughts. Air conditioning has two speeds: blast off and off. If anyone would like to invest in a hotel that does offer good quality, for heaven's sake build it. You will be full every weekend.

Room Tip: Ask for a map of the hotel before you set off to find your room.

Staff - very friendly and nice on your need and great people
Room - very old, old bed, lot of insects inside the room, not cleaned properly, small bathroom, it does look like 4 star hotel room, for me it looks like 1 star room.
Service - very good, because staff is very friendly.
Food - Chef did not know how to make Tuna salad, Raw food better than chef food in golden tulip dibba hotel.
Pool - smell like dead fish on the water, never clean the pool.

Overall i dont recommended this hotel to stay, i payed 530 dhs for room, i will not stay in this hotel again. Thanks god i am still alive.

Please dont book this hotel

Horrid hotel, the food is overpriced and awful no healthy options breakfast is terrible the toasting machine doesn't toast the bread just warms it ! The floor is softer than the mattress on the bed, the light on the balcony doesn't work, the ocean & beach are full of rubbish plastic bags cigarette butts and my husband pulled a dead stingray out of the water. The lady at the pool guarding the towels won't give them out, apparently they were expecting more guests and she had to save them. We booked direct with Celeste at the hotel 2 adults & 2 children paid 700 dirhams inc breakfast had to pay extra 110 for 1 child's bed we were not allowed 2 beds.

Room Tip: The beds are harder than concrete the food is not tasty or healthy the beach is full of rubbish and...

Stayed here for just one night. Even before I arrived it took the hotel 4 attempts to get the expiration date on my credit card right - each time I asked for a call back to confirm the transaction had gone through not once did this happen. Unfortunately this set the tone for the stay.
The service in the restaurant was shambolic - there was a coach party staying who had a buffet - at 100 dhs/10 rial per head it didn't seem good value for a salad bar some chicken and pasta so we ordered from the menu. Only one of our four meals was passable and this arrived a good 40 minutes after the other three. We didn't attempt breakfast after this fiasco.
The problem is the hotel is almost out on it's own - there are few local restaurants in town and I would warrant serving better food at much better prices.
The room was large and functional if a bit dated - the balcony was nice to have even though the furniture was not too comfortable. I have to say the bed was comfortable and I did sleep well. The bathroom had a damp odour and the hot water ran out on the second shower.
Overall it felt like a 2 star hotel charging 3-4 star prices.
