Even if you're not staying at the hotel (I was), this restaurant is worth a trip.
I'm the sort of traveler who just uses the hotel as a base, and looks elsewhere for food. But this was so good, I wound up eating here three nights out of the four I stayed.
The gallo pinto for breakfast was by far the best I had on my trip (nice coriander seeds!), and the pizza was excellent. Killer meatballs (mmm, bacon-y). Excellent fried yuca, which made me totally reconsider yuca. Simple, fancy, Costa Rican, fancy-international...it was all so good.
It's a small kitchen and waitstaff, and everything's cooked to order. Go early, have a drink, snack on some guacamole...
