One of the great things about Costa Rica is the amazing number of animal species that live there. We had never even heard of a kinkajou, a jaguarundi, or a vampire bat. We were fascinated by the anteater walking around on it's amazing feet and were delighted by the baby howler monkey that followed us around on the tour. We were able to observe up close amazing wild cats and a toucan! The woman who owns La Selva was informative, very generous with her time, and even though the entrance fee seemed steep, the amount of time we spent there and the animals we watched made it SO worth it! We'll definitely go back next year when we go to Samara again.
