Quick cheap and fresh. Fantastic. Located 160 m from Casa Del Mar open from 11am to 3pm for lunch and from 6 pm for dinner. Best to get there at 6 pm as this place fills quickly.

Thank Mark S

After being in Langkawi for 8 days and driving past this place so packed with people many times we decided we must give it a go! Worst mistake I have ever made! The minute we got in there I felt like i was being mocked by the man who appeared to be some sort of manager, he was trying to act cool and trying to speak in our accent and was mocking us to other workers! We were given the menu and ordered our meal which came out in drips and drabs. We ordered "fresh prawns" (hard and frozen tasting terrible sauce not authentic), fried rice which was over powered by soy sauce and tasted like cheap chinese take away, glassed noodles that tasted like sewer water and a 1kg chilli lobster which tasted like it had a jar of horrible sauce not chilli at all and the lobster was very average. The worst part was when we asked for the bill and it came to $500MR which is around $165 AUD!!! We questioned the bill and he said he forgot to tell us that the live lobster and prawns were 35MR per 100grams and the menu was all in the frozen seafood amount of 18MR per 100grams! absolute rip off not once did he mention it to us. They are very sly and rude. We ended up having a big argument with him and he said it was written on a tiny sign out the front and all of the menu is for frozen food. I do not reccomend this place to anyone it is a tourist rip off. You can get the biggest and best seafood in the world for cheaper then this frozen chinese crap! DO NOT GO HERE if you want real seafood!

Visited the place because local ppl recommended saying its the best around(in pantai cenang), and like they said, the food was really great. Me and my friend ordered fried rice and lobster and both were very tasty, and esp the lobster was huge and fresh(it would cost more than 10times at least here in Tokyo) But between two, medium sized fried rice was still too heavy, so it might've been wiser to order small and keep the stomach for other dish.

the only part i didn't like was a pack of drunken tourists shouting at each other next to us. might not be a good place for romantic dinner(crowded, loud and all) but for casual dinner with friends i would definitely revisit.

After a couple of times dining there we learnt to go early - around 6.30 pm - before the crowd and long queque starting anytime from 7.30 pm on. The service is fast and efficient. Tables and dirty dishes are cleared as soon as the diners paid their bills,

If you are a couple it is easier to get a table as compared to a big group where you have to wait before the tables are "free".

The sea-food is fresh (from the deep-freeze), we tried the lobster (huge), big tiger prawns in shell and peeled - and they are cooked to your order - grilled, stir-fried, steamed, with or without garlic and butter, with or without hot spicy chilli peppers, etc - delicious and great taste, but prices are a bit higher than elsewhere, though still affordable for the foreign tourist wallet.

This is a hallal restaurant, and we miss the appropriate drink to go with the lovely sea-foods. They have menu options for vegetarians, and serve also chicken dishes. We also ordered sea-food fried-rice, stir-fried vegetables and noodles which are simply delicious. They also have shark's fin soup which we decline in solidarity with the ban on shark's fin.

Overall, expensive prices by Malaysian wallet-standard, but affordable to foreign tourists and Singaporeans, which they cater for, judging by the crowds lining up for a table. Bottom-line: you get what you pay for.
